Default Can Bangladesh Beat Pakistan Finally on Feb 9th?

We all heard about miracles in cricket but none so big than Bangladesh's solitary win over Pakistan in WC 99. Embarrasing as it may sound but its a fact guys that BD never been able to cross the line against Pakistan since. There have been numerous occassions where Tigers came really close to victory but couldn't finish the job done.

Few examples:
Multan Test 2004
Asia Cup final 2012
Asia Cup 2014

Its quite surprising to be honest. Pakistan is no way invinsible and been beaten by Zimbabew and Ireland recently. It has more to do with mental block of the tigers that they never able to down the 'Cornered Tigers'.

So Bangla fans, what you think?

Will the table turn on Feb 09th when BD plays its warm up game against Pakistan?

Will the Bengali fans finally able to have a laugh at the expense of their West Punjabi/Pashtoon neighbours?

Will those crying girls in Dhaka whose dreams were shattered by Afridi will finally have the last laugh?

It might be a warm up as far as ICC is concerned but lets face it guys, its not only a warm up game, specially for BD fans.

Its a game where lots at stake in terms of history, heritegde and pride.

The 41-year-old Pakistani said that he did it intentionally keeping in mind that a defeat against Bangladesh would not be taken sportingly at home especially after the bitter memories of the 1999 loss in the World Cup.

Oh and this too

It was also alleged that the groundsmen cut the outfield grass the night before the start of the fourth day, a clear violation of the game rules, so that the ball could move faster towards the boundary.
We not only avoid cheating but also play within spirit of the game. Our Mohammed Rafique did this

It seems that Pakistan’s cause was aided by divine intervention in the City of Saints. Somehow luck kept deserting the Bangladeshis while Pakistan survived one disaster after another. This was apparent twice in quick successions. Umar Gul was warned by Rafique for backing too far at the non-striker’s end. But in a great gesture of sportsmanship the spinner refused to run him out although he was entitled to within the law of the game.

I rest my case for Multan Test. Multan is known as the city of Saints. But irony is they acted like cheaters (Latif) while we acted like Saints (Rafique)

Fixed up your post a little.

I can see the headings.

Afgan quicks too good for Bharat batsmen. - aussie papers.
Bring them back home. - bharat papers.

actually, pak might just breeak india's only excuse to show their 'delusional statistical' superiority over pak..world cups, once this is broken,, nothing to brag about for them.....to be crushed like bhindians..

I don't care as it is a warm up, and if we win Pak will say BD won because it was a warm up.
But for our preparation's sake it will be good to beat them and start the world cup with more confidence.

Warm up match this. We are going to warm up our bodies, not to beat Pakistan when no one is watching.

Not interested in warm matches. It'll be good for the players and team if they can beat Pak though.
