Default Update Thread Official : Enamul Haque Jr, Mehrab Hossain and Syed Rasel

Every one, please leave us updates on those players that are in UK now! Would be great for BanglaCricket fans to get all updates in single thread rather than searching different ones. I would be happy if Ian Pont can give us updates about Syed Rasel. Those that are in touch with Enamul and Mehrab please give us some updates here! I will try a poll might be off topic, enjoy!

I think poll is not right. if its a fast pitch i would not play rassel but if it's a slow pitch and swinging i would definitely play him.
Fit Mash 100% but is he going to be fit.
I would also always take one of the other two and rotate them. to save them from same fate as mash

Shafiul, Mashrafe and Rubel are a three pronged attack that I would want in ODI's.
Shahadat, Shafiul and Mashrafe are the three pronged attack I want in test.
It is always better to go with three pacers, gives at least one breathing space... And two spinners (Shakib + ______)

Rubel has played mainly top flight opposition, whereas Rasel is more with the like of kenya and Zimbabwe.

really? how about Rasel's performances in debut against Sri Lanka, WC 2007, first ever T20 WC etc? he has time and again proved that although limited, he is a very intelligent bowler with the abilty to build pressure on batsman with tight economy rate and force him playing the bad shoy (esp if pitch is slow and swinging) who can bat a bit. With all the experience, he is my ideal pick in limited over matches with Masrafee & Shafiul, if fit. Rubel is an inconsistent fast bowler who often goes expensive and still quiet a luxury for BD cricket in limited overs, although he will keep getting his fare share of games with fitness issues of other pacers. Hope his all round bowling improves like his slow bouncers (thanx Ian).

As for the test format, I completely agree with you- Mashrafee, Shahadat and Shafiul is the way to go.

I have high expectations from Shafiul as our future face of pace.

For ODI,
I would play Mashrafe, Rasel..... with Nazmul, Shafi as options

For Test,
Until Mashrafe is fit,
Shahdat, Rubel, Shafi and when Mash returns to test, i would replace him with shafi

Little confused with the thread and poll. The title says Enamul, Mehrab & Rasel update thread . And the poll is about the best seam bowling pair!. Without the poll its a nice thread.

Rasel just doesn't have the pace to match his accuracy. Although, he can swing the ball both ways, so can Rubel now.

Why play 6 spinners in seam friendly conditions?
And also, Mashrafe won't be in the tour.

totally disagree with this. I used to think same way too, until I closely observed his bowling patterns. Rubel bowls according to a set plan, which is the mark of a hard working bowler. I saw him in New Zealand's tour of Bangladesh, and that is when he bowled the whole test series with one single plan. he stopped giving away runs too. in my eyes, he is quite unlucky not to have turned in match winning performances and limelight like shafiul. shafiul is a crafty bowler too, but I would pick Rubel if the choice is between them two. Rubel was the most consistent bowler in the world cup also.

a fit mashrafe trumps both, but mashrafe hasnt been the same since west indies 2009. we dont know when or ever we will get the old mashrafe back. till then, we have to do with Rubel, who can bowl up to 93-94 mph on a fast pitch. (Yes, thats true!)

thread opener is banned. i think we should have a thread opened by mod that explained why some members are banned. i think we have right to know plus people will know what they shouldnt do.

sometimes its sad to see some members are gone, we miss them. baundule bhai is banned. we played some fantasy wc together. its sad to see he is not part of BC any more. i am sure there are more members like him that we miss.
