Bangladesh test pace bowling is ultra pathetic. Jeez!!!
This is why you stick with a bunch. Taskin has the height, can bowl mid 80s to late 80 mph. Yes he was wayward, lost himself after the action ban he had back in 2016. But like I said, he was one of your key pacer at that time, someone for future. I thought he was brilliant in 2015/16. Taskin should have never been dropped, but kept in the squad and groomed him properly for test format. Bangladesh badly needs a tall 6'3-4in pacer who can atleast hit 85mph consistently!

Liton Das needs bigger gloves. Good bowling from Hasan. Taijul I hope is his last game.

Who is the 5th bowler, why don’t Mominul bowls , Sissy captaincy wouldn’t work in the current era of Morden cricket

Taijul has been absolutely mediocre not just today but in recent tests. He was poor in BPL too not that it should decide upon his test fate.
When you have 4 bowlers and one of them underperforms things will suck. Our bowling performance was good otherwise. Captaincy was arguably the worst I have ever seen and trust me I have seen ridiculous Captaincy of Shakib, Mushy, Gulbadin

6 wickets down on the first day is not that bad. It's just the first innings.
What's a good 1st innings score on this track?
Restrict them for 250-270.
Anything under is bonus.

Ebadot was consistent with his line-length yesterday, but he bowled much slower as well (mostly in low 130s). The guy needs to work on both speed an accuracy. I still don't think he's ready for Test cricket. We would have been better off taking AA in his place.

Yeah, I don't mind seeing Al Amin in all three formats.
This way, there can be one constant bowling leader...NZ does this with Boult and Southee...SA with Rabada.

He was bowling consistently around 137-138 in Rawalpindi, topping out at 146. The conditions in BD don't really favor bowling fast. The air is much thicker in Dhaka than Pindi due to elevation.

First Session: Winner Zim
Second Session: Winner 50/50
Third Session: Winner BD.
Looks like Test Match is evenly poised at the moment.
Ebadot needs to focus on constantly attacking the stumps.
I have been screaming and advocating to include Naeem Hasan, the young offspinner, Best off spinner Bangladesh has produced until date so far. He should be picked for all tests, regardless of pitch and conditions.
Something is really off. Taijul is a far better spinner than whatever filth he bowled yesterday, He is not as accurate as he used to be.

First session: ZIM 75-25
Second session: BD 60-40
3rd session: BD 75-25
Overall: BD 160-140 advantage. So we are marginally ahead on straight numbers. But we are batting last, so that means its still 50-50 even stevens IMO.
If we can bowl them out under 275, we will be slightly ahead. Bowl them out under 250, we will be well ahead.

They were desperate for poor Taijul bhai. Even umpire couldn't buy him a wicket yesterday.

It's very difficult to bat, without taking a long enough break, after keeping for four sessions.

How did shanto look? Is he going to be a viable #3 option going forward?

Looked rock solid until he got out. Cricinfo control % was reading 95%. And if you think its just because its at home vs a weak attack...he looked very solid in Pakistan too. Was our best batsman in Rawalpindi.
I am very excited about Shanto being our #3 for the future.
Just need to find a way to get Mosaddek into our XI.
