He likes to bat at number 3. Opening the bat must be confusing for him, especially with Tamim at the other end. Playing "sheet anchor" without rotating the strike gets you bogged down, and your innings will probably end in shambles.

Good point. Wonder if Tamim refused to run singles when Anamul was on strike.
