Anyways, good show by the boys.
Even after lack of runs, they took it close. But leggy in the last over? I did not get that.
Anamul needs to pick up his batting and captaincy.

^^^ take it easy on the caps lock
In the other games the stronger teams were 177/2 (india), 161/2 (Australia), 177/4 (NZ), 155/2 (WI) at one stage in the game and because of that strong foundation they all went on to get a big total in 50 overs. This is a regularity in other teams and a rarity in ours. Even against Scotland chasing 106 we couldn't do it without losing the top order.
SA always had an extra gear they could push for because they also kept wickets in hand. Lets not flatter ourselves by saying we took it to the last ball. when they were 180 odd for 4 the writing was already on the wall and it was their game to lose at that point.
Our batting looks to be the same at all levels... Consistently we put up below par totals and leave the bowlers to scrap for some respectability. On a 300 pitch we will score 250... on a 250 pitch we score 200. This happens due to the lack of any kind of pacing to our innings. Too many wickets falling at the top never allows us to build a platform from where we could launch an attack.

Also Poor bowling change at the end cost us the game. Thats why you need a smart coach. This is what happens when you leave everything up to the captain..

Coach should be more proactive and help the captain througout the game rather than watching the game like a spectator and resting...I wish we had a smart player like Imran Khan as a coach for this team...

All the Big Team (Top 8) won today. And we remain in the associate category. This game was ours, just gave it away.

It was a good warm up match nonetheless. BD bowlers bowled really good to make them work hard. Hopefully this performance from bowlers will give some confidence and motivate our players specially top order batters to perform better to have any chances in the tourney.

I disagree no matter what with 10 or so needed off the final over we came back into the game and that 6 from noor is what cost us the match (partly). Top order collapse after openers did well was the other . But id rather lose today than in 4 days time.

i see you changed your sig..just wondering do you still believe anamul can be a 50 avg test batsman?..i put the emphasis on 50 as you can see, i dont want to go in an argument if anamul will be succesful or not, just wondering if you gave up on that 50 avg statement, what anamul does we'll see in future, he could be one of the best BD batsmans ever by the time he finishes his career even with a 30+ avg..since our standard is so low..But to think he'll have 50 avg was something extraordinary for Bangladesh

This is in IMHO. From what I saw at the BPL, Anamul is the new Ash. If he cannot eschew the cutesy Ash plays, he is done.
