5 are already booked,
2 from Archery is very realistic, our archers are Asian level if not better.
2 from swimming.
1 from TnF
1 from Football.
1 from female Kabadi/handball

Can't believe this has happen in the same country. when we get caught red handed for cheating from the same country the golfer Sohel heard the news of his father passing away (inna nillahi wainnalahi rajiun) just before starting the game but still continues with heavy heart thinking about the country and the team and wins the gold... bravo i salute you

on another note. BD beat maldeep in cricket . MAL 26/10 in 16 overs. bd took just 2.2 over for 2 wkts to finsih it. one bowler got 2 wkts and gave away no runs!!!

We will surely get another gold from individual golf. Jamal hossain is almost certain to be the campion as he took big lead today. The 2nd and 3rd place holders are also Bangladeshi.

‘বাবা, তুমি কি শুনতে পাচ্ছ? তুমি কি দেখতে পাচ্ছ কিছু। তোমার ছেলে আজ সোনা জিতেছে। বাবা, তুমি আজ আনন্দ করো’—বাবাকে নিয়ে আর আনন্দে মেতে ওঠা হলো না। বাবার হাতে গিয়ে তুলে দেওয়া হলো না এতদিনের সাধনার ফল এসএ গেমসের সোনার পদকটি। এর অনেক আগেই যে বাবা চলে গেছেন না ফেরার দেশে...।
বাবা কাজী মহিউদ্দিন ভীষণ আদর করতেন একমাত্র ছেলে সাখাওয়াত হোসেন সোহেলকে। ছোটবেলা থেকেই স্বপ্ন দেখতেন, ছেলে মানুষের মতো মানুষ হোক। লেখাপড়া শিখে বাবার মুখ উজ্জ্বল করুক। কিন্তু পড়ার চেয়ে খেলাধুলার দিকেই বেশি ঝোঁক ছিল ছেলেটির। নোয়াখালীর রামগঞ্জের বর্মপাড়ায় নিজের গ্রামে তাই দাঁড়িয়াবাঁধা, গোল্লাছুট, বউচি আর কাবাডিতে আনন্দ খুঁজতেন সোহেল। ঢাকায় মিরপুরের উত্তর কাফরুলে চলে এলেও ওসব থেমে থাকেনি। আশপাশের এলাকাটা ছিল খারাপ। বাজে ছেলেদের সঙ্গে মিশে বখে যেতে পারে—এই ভয়ে বাবা ক্যান্টনমেন্টের দিকে বাড়ি ভাড়া করেন ছেলের জন্য। ওই সময়ই কুর্মিটোলা গলফ ক্লাবের আশপাশে নিয়মিতই ঘুরঘুর করতেন সোহেল। একদিন দুম করে সেখানে চাকরির সুযোগও মিলে গেল।
চাকরিটা একেবারেই নগণ্য। গলফের বলবয়। পরে পদোন্নতি পেয়ে ক্যাডি, তারপর নিজের মেধাগুণে পেলেন জাতীয় দলে ডাক। শুরু হলো সোহেলের গলফার জীবন। কাল বাংলাদেশ গলফ দলের অধিনায়ক সোহেল যখন দক্ষিণ এশীয় গেমসে সোনার পদক গলায় তুলছিলেন, তখনো তাঁর বুক ফেটে উঠে আসছিল কান্না। গলার কাছে সেটি দলা পাকিয়ে রেখে বারবার নিজেকে সান্ত্বনা দিচ্ছিলেন। গেমসের আরও খেলা তো বাকি আছে!
সুসংবাদের আশা নিয়েই আগের রাতে ঘুমুতে গিয়েছিলেন সোহেল। দিনশেষে একটা চমত্কার সুসংবাদ দেশবাসীকে উপহারও দিলেন, কিন্তু এর আগে নিজের জীবনের সবচেয়ে বড় দুঃসংবাদটি শুনতে হলো। ম্যাচ শুরু হতে তখনো মিনিট বিশেক বাকি। হঠাত্ তাঁর সেলফোন বেজে ওঠে। মেজ বোন নাসরিন ফোনে জানান, অতি প্রিয় বাবা আর বেঁচে নেই। স্ট্রোক করেছেন তিনি। হাসপাতালে নেওয়ারও সময় পায়নি কেউ।
সোহেলের বাবার মৃত্যুসংবাদ দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পড়ে সারা ক্যান্টনমেন্টে। ক্লাব কর্মকর্তা, টিম ম্যানেজার, কোচ, কর্মচারীরা ছুটে আসেন তাঁকে সান্ত্বনা জানাতে। ক্লাব কর্মকর্তা থেকে শুরু করে সবাই তাঁকে খেলার আগে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন, ‘তুমি কি খেলতে পারবে?’ সোহেল বলেন, ‘আমি একটু ভেবে দেখি। এক বছর ধরে কোচ বাবু আহমেদসহ আমরা সবাই যে কঠোর পরিশ্রম করে আসছি, সেটা একেবারে জলাঞ্জলি দিতে মন চাইছিল না। তাই শেষমেশ অনেক ভেবেচিন্তে খেলার জন্যই সম্মতি দিলাম।’
সোহেল আরও বলে যান, ‘আমি আসলে বিশ্বাসই করতে পারছিলাম না যে আমার বাবা মারা গেছেন। আমার বোন যখন ফোন দেয়, তখন আমি কী করব বুঝতে পারছিলাম না। আমার সতীর্থরা আমাকে জিজ্ঞেস করছিল, আমি খেলব কি না।’ বাবার সঙ্গে সোহেলের শেষ কথা হয়েছিল পরশু রাতেও, ‘আমরা প্রথম রাউন্ডে এগিয়ে থাকার পর বাবাকে কাল (পরশু) রাতেও ফোন করেছিলাম। বাবা বলেছিলেন, চিন্তা করো না। তুমি মন দিয়ে খেল।’
মনোসংযোগে কি এতটুকু চিড় ধরেছিল? ‘আমি আসলে শক্ত হয়ে গিয়েছিলাম ওই সময়। আমি ক্ষণিকের জন্য ভুলে গিয়েছিলাম যে আমার বাবা মারা গেছেন। সব সময় কালেমা পড়ছিলাম আর খেলছিলাম। দেশের স্বার্থে তখন খেলার জন্য নিজেকে মানসিকভাবে আরও প্রস্তুত করে নিই।’
কোথাও খেলতে গেলে বাবা নিজ হাতে কাপড় গুছিয়ে দিতেন। টিম হোটেলে ওঠার দিনও দিয়েছিলেন। বলতে বলতে কেঁদেই ফেললেন টাইগার উডস-ভক্ত সোহেল।
