A bit disappointed by the margin of victory. At international level you are expected to win against the second string sides being a test playing country so the margin was of utmost importance. I would say it was a miserable display from our batsmen for losing the 5 wickets and a sad show by the bowlers since they could not get all 10 wickets of a second string zimbabwe side whose national team is also in tatters. If this is the way we are going to play the African tour then a series win will be hard to achieve let alone thinking about whitewash. However since the team had a break I can give them some leeway and hope that the performance in the first ODI is upto the mark or at least they should even scrape a win because starting the series with a win would be a big advantage.

i think JO will do fairly well in this series...after all it's only zimbabwe...remember how he dominated against the kenyan bowling in that last odi (or was it the third)?

now, if ashraful fails in all five games, i say we relegate him to moheskhali para cricket club. this is actually a chance for our batsmen to score big (maybe even a ton or two), and they also have a LOT of time - 5 games. anyone who fails miserably in this series doesn't really deserve that red and green cap.

I have said this in the past and saying it again, JO is simply getting better. He is in the learning process and correcting his techniques - after all thats what we have all these coaches for, glad he is utilizing them. Btw I am no JO fan FYI.

sorry for last comment but didn't have any intension to bash JO. But he did a lot by scoring 40+ where as our superstar Ash did nothing. I believe JO played sensibly because of SN early depature. So, greet going JO. I hope they can pace their innings accordingly to the game and change game plan based on the situation. We should have two more practice matches to adjust to the new situation.
I hope we can get a detail report on the pitch and how our players adjusted with the new condition. I think Aftab's consulting with Sakib,Tushar and others helped him play a good innings. Great to see our new cricketers are developing that professionalism and cricketing knowledge.

I think he could be boring but he is useful for stopping the collapse.
He defintely improved a lot. But time will tell. He just need to play according to the situations. Any news how Masri grabbed those 5. is it with the new ball?

he did not stop the collapse, he scored 45 & got out. if he scored 70+ then it was ok to say that he stopped collapse

Just this morning my wife told me a story of an American christian converting to Islam and staying three years as muslim before going back to christianity, finding it dificult to follow islam.

And you couldn't stay in JO supporter club for a one single day?

Are you guys still want to talk about whitewash? Not even bring that on your mind. Because our senior team could be worst than our A team in mentality.
Settle down my friend. Yes...still want to talk about whitewash. Its just a practice match, isn't it? I think our senior team is doing well so far and way better than A team in mentality. I am sure you will get the chance to celebrate soon!!!

I am not a JO supp or against him... I am for Bangladesh. If there are two openers can score 30/40 constantly I wouldn't even blink before dropping JO but with a replacement and thinking that oh we will give somebody a chance to open for another 10 years is stupid... He can at least score some run even if its against the week ops. We need to groom another opener in the mean time playing him in A or other level. Not just by dropping him which will take us in negative (not back to zero)...

its a practice match. i thought it was a very fruitful match for us. masri got a fifer, aftab got a half century, bashar and gullu got some runs. from the looks of the scorecard, it looks like the match was never in doubt. it'll be greatly appreciated by me if some of you didn't whine at every single chance you got.
