few Things need to be done:

1.Shakib needs to promote down the order
2. Jahurul Islam needs to come back
3. Faisal Hossain Dekans either needs to be EITHER promoted up the order OR dropped
(it makes little sense to use 3 specialist bowlers in ODI, you need at least 4.)
4. we need to fix our powerplay problems...
5. where was the third seamer(Rasel's swing? Rubel's pace???)
this was indeed an opportunity missed!

He is playing in the wrong position, he's not a finisher/slogger, he is a top order batsmen who takes a little time to settle in, we need to either play him higher up the order or drop him for someone who can finish/slog.

This is right, we are playing too many players in the wrong position, there is no point playing Faisal at number 8, or dropping Riyad for Naeem, it will solve nothing as these are top order batsmen and can not play the role of a finisher. If we can't find these type of players I would rather see Ashraful/Aftab/Kapali etc play in the number 7 and just slog a 10-15 ball 20, rather than Riyad/Naeem struggle in the power play/last few overs.

This is what I feel the team line-up (alternatives in brackets) should be:-
1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Imrul Kayes (Zunaid Siddique/Jahrul Islam)
3. Zunaid Siddique (Jahrul Islam/Raqibal Hasan)
4. Mushfiqur Rahim (Raqibal Hasan)
5. Mahmudullah Riyad (Naeem Islam)
6. Shakib Al Hasan
7.Ashraful/Aftab/Nazimuddin/Kapali
8. Mashrafe Mortaza
9. Shafiul Islam
10. Bowler

here is the difference...they were given lots of chances, Faisal just got one and didnt get the time to utilize it thats all. His fielding is amazing. His bowling was better than Mah

Next match,
Tamim
Imrul
Faisal
Mahmudullah (I dunt want him in the team but i doubt they are gonna drop him)
Junaid
Raqibul
Jahirul
Sakib
Mash
Shafi
Razzaq

In case Mah gets out i will include Rasel simple because he is more economical and Sakib gets a promotion in order still it will be perfect for him to smash the ball

Clearly Shafiul had a bad day. Rasel, Nazmul, Rubel just sitting there. I don't understand why they always go with a long batting XI, with some proper batsmen batting at 6,7,8 and giving them sloggers job. There is no point having a batsman bat at 8, with 2 overs to go, and not take an extra bowler instead.

Drop Mahmudullah's *** pick Jahurul. We need a keeper any ways. And pick up any of those 3 extra seamers! Drop Razzak, and take another seamer.

3 extra seamers? You think England would mind playing BD trundlers where they dominated the oz bowling? Plus none of them are in good touch.. They're gonna be toyed around for runs.. And dropping razzak is rubbish, just play Jahurul for Mush and an extra pacer in the place of Rokibul, if so.

মন খারাপ করার কোন কারন নাই। শেষ পর্যন্ত এই পারফরমেনস আগের থেকে ভালই ছিল।
at least the body language was pretty good today! the strategy was horrific though!

the first 30 overs you thought we won....but we didn't cricket is a ODI 100 over game, you have to stay in the hunt all the time!

hmm.. overall i wouldn't say i'm too disspaointed... the batting dint collapse... bt the way we were going ... we shud've gt alteast 20 more runs... that wud hv made the game much moe competitive.... n the players seemed slightly positive... that was also good....

bt we need to improve on this performance.....

I was quite happy to see the upbeat body language, after quite a while I noticed the players were willing to throw themselves around to save runs. In the end we should have scored 20-30 more while batting and needed around 300 to win the game. Strategies were quite atrocious, I seriously think we should take the batting PP in the 20-30 over period, the powerplays have never been a great for us and its time we try something new. Also, another request to the team management, please stop playing with 4 bowlers, its gonna bite you in the bum[ala Siddons], take 7 batsmen. If your 7 batsmen aren't good enough to get a decent score you should probably not be playing at this level. Have faith in your batsmen and play 5 bowlers[including Shak] in the next game.

Foisal is a crappy bowler. He has problem with his action too. His quicker one definitely bends beyond ICC's legitimate angle.

yah, exactly my thought, but this is our bad management, they dont try with new things, as now top orders are settled, why cant they try with ash or aftab as the lower order. they r the hard hitter, it is proved though they cant buil the innings, also ash spin could help us instead of faisal he can play in that position easily. but my bad management will not undersatnd that.

Ya, what does he know about it. Even KP had one during Aus series. Different color though. And he is the most stylish cricketer of this era.

Those are new style. Those guys probably bought it, as soon as they landed on Eng. lol

Faisal is a top order batsmen who can bowl a bit, and it seems he is the management's latest guinea pig to ruin, and try to change into an all rounder, as done previously with Naeem and Riyad.
