Simmons, Samuels, or even Hyatt have not played a lot of ODI's, yet the way they bat shows that the BD batters lag behind in some basics of batting. These flaws will not go away until more of Nassir Hossain-type players are given chances to grow and take the helm. After this ODI I am of the opinion that we need to discard a lot of older players including Ash, Alok, and to some extent Imrul. Look at the way the Windies have improved the make-up of their team since their 2nd string lost to BD at home. They have a bunch of prospective young players and they are improving. I feel bad that we can no longer talk about catching up with the Windies in the ODI ranking after this series. Maybe we will be talking about keeping our edge over the Zimbabwean.
The regulars in the squad should be Tamim, Shakib, Mushy, and Nasir among the youngers. The rest should be replenished, if necessary with the new comers. To me the issue is about having the basics of batting right; it may not help us win matches in the near future, but in the long run we need to look at our batting

I rate shakib high with the ball, he will always do his part his best with the ball but that aint good enough cause the rest are failing most of the time infact all the time
