BD must work how to defend dead ball situations. Everytime Ind had a free kick in the attacking third, BD seemed like conceding, and the cry for a decent striker could not be louder for BD.

So what happened? Our experienced players were just too unfit and slow for these young indian players? That's what Dido argued for his selection, atleast they were "fit".

its totally rubbish play from BD side. no tactics, no game plan, no strategy wats so ever. Mr. Shanto may be the greatest goalkeeper tht BD has produced but its daylight true that he lacks in coaching where it needs some brain work and strict attitudes towards the players. No urgency from the players or coach was seen today. Dido was the right answer for this lethargic, lazy team.
This team is the WORST possible BD National side tht i have seen so far in my life. no wonder this side lost to Sk Russel by 3-0 in one of the practice matches before the tournament. and those so called BFF members are still running BFF to get $$$$ from AFC and deposit those in their pockets nothing else otherwise Football should be kept in the Museum.

Shame on the guys who kicked out Dido.
Salahuddin's leadership credibility is seriously questioned here.
Now other fans, why not you bring out a procession against Salahuddin that you did against Dido.

I want to meet BadOwl Roy, who was the chief patron behind Didos departure.
I suspect, he is the leading man behind all politics in BFF.

That's what I read in the Daily Star interview of dido before he left. But I don't think these idiots care if newspapers highlight their idocy. They got no shame.

Am I the only one not devastated by the performance of our so called football team! I know it's easy for me to say cuz I don't follow them--as a young kid got used to us beating teams like the Maldives/Bhutan/Srl by avg margin of 5/6 goals every time we played, so it's painful to accept the new reality where the same teams are not only competing with us but also beating us. Hard to believe back in the days our FIFA rankings were in double digits in the mid to high nineties whereas today we're ranked in the 130s and 140s. While several participants of the world's lowest rated football tourney made progress, we kept regressing.
If it's any consolation look at the brighter side, our national soccer team's continual regression will hopefully translate into more money being allocated to cricket.

Whats this all about?
We Bangladeshis are good at one thing. We can always live with an ego. An ego of the days when we were able to score handful of goals against minnows of the region. End of the story. Do you guys know that England were scoring double digits against France in 1920s? Do you know Portugese and English soldiers introduced soccer to Brazil and Argentina? Those were the days Portugal found it easy to beat Brazil by cricket scores. And now is it the case anymore?
Be civilised and come to your senses. Get our house in order and start working hard to develope soccer in Bangladesh. Thats the only way forward.
We all know two or three things. We know We beat Maldives 8-0 some years ago. We also know Iran beat Maldives 17-0 in 1997. But do we know that same year in 1997 Maldives played in SAFF final? Do we know that same year Maldives drew with Bangladesh? Do we know Maldives only lost to Iran 2-0 in Teheran 2001. Do we know that we were not able to beat them even in 2003? We got the cup by getting higher on penalty kicks. You guys are used to remember what you like and forget what you dont like. With this attitude we are doomed.

As for cricket, are there reasons to celebrate? Yes we do have a status called test playing nation. Some days our batsmen score respectable figures. We are able to beat countries such as Zembabwe, Kenya etc... But can we compete with the likes of Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India? I dont see any defference between cricket and football here. In both fronts we have to work hard to improve.
