I am with you Bhai,I never get upset, I am practical, but I always keep praying that they reach a decent score, like in the second ODI when all fans thought that BD will be out for less than 100 runs. I liked the way they played ODIs against Sri Lanka, even though they lost it was spirited and exciting.

So what will be the new trick this time? Drop both Fast bowlers and open the bowling with Tamim and Ash?

why drop Siddique?
why drop Shahadat?

my third ODI squad:

Tamim Iqbal
Junaed Siddique
Rakibul Hasan
Sakibul Hasan
Mohammad Ashraful
Farhad Reza
Dhiman Ghosh
Mosharraf Hossain Rubel
Abdur Razzak
Shahadat Hossain
Syed Rasel

i excluded MAshrafee because the fans are really upset with him for some strange reason, i want to keep the third ODI as peaceful as possible, so he either needs to quit Bangladesh cricket for a while or the fans should stop complaining/booing excluding Nazimuddin and Nafees for my *personal biased* reasons...

Farhad Reza should be included unless he is injured or something

Actually now a days Shahadat is pretty good with that bat. I bet if we give him constant chance in the opening he may end up having a average of 15+ or something with a SR 100. Which is not bad for bangladeshi standard.

He will score few 4s over the slip.

Shahadat and Rassel open the batting and Tamim and and Dhiman bowling and Ashrafool wicket keeping. Not a bad idea!

Is the match gonna be shown on sopcast again? last time it stopped working halfway through the SA innings. Common tigers, we gotta send them in to bat first, then chase our bangladeshi way!!!

Guys Juaneed nedds to come back.
why are we changeing the opener?
we all no that he can bat well.
As we know siddon is not in favor of rapid changing.
thats the problem with our selector. want to try too many thing in short. its not gonna work like that.

Steyn will leave with blood stain
I wonder if we can survive the pain
Our batters will do the same, that they do again and again
Accusing others but not the main
You know whom I am talking about, our only captain
and when talking in press conference you know how much he got that brain.

we should let the team play as if there is no pressure on them. In fact, this series is already over. They should just go out and have fun. I would love for them to have fun and not have to worry about consequences. It is a sport, and so it should be treated by those of us who watch it. Its a treat for those of us in the states to watch our cricket team play. Its an event that is remarkable. Lets not worry about our performance, but enjoy this last match between our home country and the second best cricketing nation of the world.

on the point of performance of our team, we are too young. We cannot turn into India over night. We have come a long way (just look at rakibul's batting and rasel's bowling) since our first test against India, and that says something. We are at a level above the team in ICC '96. That team was an older one, with most of the players having played a lot of cricket already. That explains our success in the world cup of '99 where the same team beat scotland as they were supposed to.

The next world cup is 3 years away. Judging by our performance in the last world cup, I see a lot of hope. In any case, we have to wait until our domestic tournaments are at par with the international arena.

For now, as I have posted before - we seem to have found a pretty solid team. As long as we keep playing the same core of players so that they are able to gain as much experience as possible, we will be fine. Lets take a look at the players we have available -

1. tamim
2. junaed
the opening partnership, according to the coach, is unbreakable. A lot of us also agree after watching these two perform. Shahriar Nafees, Nafis Iqbal, and Hannan Sarkar are three likely candidates to provide competition to these two.
3. ashraful
4. aftab
they are not going to be dropped until they retire, I assume. I understand Ashraful has not scored anything after his 80 against newzealand - which is a rather long bad patch for any batsman. However, let him play and gather experience. I dont think we have to wait too long for him to start performing regularly. The amazing thing about the test series against south africa was the maturity of aftab. I noticed a lot of calmness in his batting. If this is not a temporary phase - then wow.
5. rakibul hasan
scary eh? nafees should not be batting down here. nazim is another option, especially in one days.
6. sakib al hasan
his fifty earned him some credit on my book. farhad is his competition.
7. dhiman ghosh
or mushfiqur rahim.

I hope Ash is a little more aggressive with his captaincy when BAN bowls if RSA are chasing. Allowing the winning pship of about 119 runs with only 3 fours and 1 six in 31.3 overs like he did in ODI 2 says to me that he basically gave up. Here, you can have singles and we hope you forget how many runs you need. Better to play more aggressively and lose earlier. At least try to defend the total. IND defended about as many v WI in a World Cup final once.

Also, I hope Ash thinks a little more about his batting. Don't worry if you don't score for 10 balls that you have to start taking risky shots. Stay in. With your talent runs will come. Ash is a great young player, but I sometimes wonder if the captaincy is hurting his batting. I'm new to this forum and don't know if this aspect has been discussed before.

Go BAN! Keep RSA from getting an undeserved No. 1 ODI rating.
