At least we've have sorted out few Test XI selection problems with this practice match:

Javed and Shahriar Nafees should open
Nafees Iqbal shouldn't play
Including Rajib in the Test XI is out of question
2 pacer + 2 spinner is the way to go

I saw a picture of Bashar fielding the match .Will he be able to bat ? Let's wait and see .

Also BD bowlers produced 25 nb out of 48 extras. What the hell they were bowling to.Nothing is working for us right now what a mess ...

Is Javed Omar injured too? According to Dily Star "Due to injuries to Mashrafee bin-Mortuza, Javed and Mohammad Rafique, Bangladesh team's trainer Stuart Karppinen and captain Habibul Bashar, who had only returned to the Lankan capital from a compassionate leave early morning yesterday, had to field."

Why didn't we send the incompetent negligent physio to field? That could have been a wake up call for him.

Please don't whine. So far, our performance in this tour is nothing but atrocious.

Given our performance, the title seems quite appropriate.

If they can bat out the 90 overs i'll be more than happy, it'll give me a renewed confidence in them.

Also i like the way pilot is thinking Rana is a type of batsmen who with Javed can eat up overs.

I hope practice match best Tushar can come through for us.

yes...I got a call this evening from the BCB to ask that I report to Sri Lanka as a backup trainer in case Karppinen has to play in the Test series.

Thumbs This is what has been missing. SL developmental team is pretty strong. They drew with SA - A team recently. That means SL is developing cricket very intensely. They may be the super power of cricket in the next five years.

After looking at the scoreboard i am not very convince about your "pretty strong" comment. Even BD can draw a two days match

relieved a little but, i pray to God, Nafees doesnt play, he is not in form, it's be bloody ridiculous if he is picked...and why , why, why, why does Whatmore put mediocre batsmen so high up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Manjural Islam, he isnt a bloody batsman, and Rafique in the ODI? It disrupts the teams flow, because any opportunity to do well will be disrupted with their (lower order batsmen batting 3/4/5) dismissal.

"..........Ashraful showed great reserves of concentration, batting for two minutes under three hours for a well-compiled 87 off 150 balls. He hit a six and 11 fours.

With the 19-year-old Ahmed, who made a well-struck 67, Ashraful added 123 for the fifth wicket in 108 minutes. Ahmed, who reached his half-century in grand style with a pulled six over midwicket, also hit seven fours in his 123-ball knock. Thilan Samaraweera, the SLC Development XI captain, tried as many as eight bowlers to try and dislodge the pair, and although Ahmed was dismissed soon after tea, Tushar Imran and Khaled Mashud, the former captain and wicket-keeper, batted out time, occupying the crease for 52 minutes to frustrate the local team's effort of pulling off a victory."
