Hope they will have proper game plan, training, and caring for these U-19. Not sure how strong they are mentaliy, but really they need to look after their physical attributes. I understand our food, weather play an important role, but BCB should ensure that these players get extra nutrition and also work harder to get more fit. They could be good batsmen with good technique, but they really look pale.

That only goes for leass than 15 days then. They're on a one month tour. So there must be more matches.

so BD under 19 bundled out for 180 only? why such low score? same batting problem as seniors? hate to see score below 200 at any kind of pitch.

How good is the Bangladesh U19 team? I don't know much about them. What are they ranked in the world?

I can't remember this lot previously having played a game. If they're anything like the last batch, they're very bloody good.

Sri Lanka U-19 takes on Bangladesh counterparts today

By T.B. Rahaman
The Under-19 teams of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will pad up to play their first three day match at the NCC ground beginning today.

Seasoned all rounder Sachit Pathirana will lead the Sri Lanka team that is laden with talented players who have excelled for their respective schools.

Pathirana is a very useful batsman and a good bowler with many wickets to his credit in the schools season.

Roshane de Silva will be the deputy and is well known for his explosive batting.

Lahiru Thirimanne is another experienced all rounder who is a new ball bowler who can trouble any batsman with his seam bowling. He can also come up with some big hitting and lift the side from a bad patch if the need arises.

Nishad Mazahir too is a very solid batsman from S. Thomas’ College and he too has made many big scores during the past season. He can be a tall scorer during this series of matches.

Umesh Karunaratne and Haroon Mowjood are the spinners in the side and much is expected from them in this series.

The young Bangladesh side has the ability to do well and offer a stiff challenge to the local side over the next three days.
