We need a sporting pitch this time. Don't want to see another run fest. This is a good opportunity to win a test rather than being satisfied with a draw.

Bismillah

Go with the same squad except replace Rubel with Al-Amin. Regardless of how Hom batted in the first innings of 1st test, he did good with the ball and batted quite well in the second innings. I would persist with him one more time. Mohammad Shahid deserves another chance. He wasn't used properly but whenever he got the chance, he created chances. I would give Soumya another go as well even though his FC records aren't convincing. If he fails this time around then he should get the boot.

How is Mushy doing? If he can't keep but can bat then Soumya should make way for Litton.

We have shown we can draw matches at home/away on flat decks, gone are those days of collapsing even on batting paradises. Time to take our confidence one step further and go for wins.

Our W/L ratio is so abysmal a few draws here or there won't improve it at all, we should utilize home conditions and advantages and push for those wins

All this speculation about team is moot. They already announced the squad yesterday. No change.

Only realistic changes are Litton for Soumya, that's all. The only other possible change can be either Rubel or Shahid making way for Rajib.

This is what impresses me about the current Bangladesh team ever since Hatura took over: Barring his first assignment, He has been very very very impressive. Yes, Bangladesh makes mistakes, Yes, Bangladesh does time to time may have a lapse in judgement. The most impressive aspect of this current Bangladesh team across formats is how they fight back, how they manage to recover from mistakes, how they manage to recover from positions of weakness to positions of strength and solidity. We have seen this throughout the world cup and ever since Zimbabwean series. The team is very high on confidence, they can probably beat anybody at the moment in any format.

I think part of the reason behind this success has to do with the level of trust between the coach and the players. The players trust the coach and the coach has given the player enough freedom to play their own game and learn from their own mistakes. I think we fans destroyed a class player like Ashraful by overburdening him with expectations and trying to micromanage his playing abilities. The players know better when to go aggressive and when to play defensive. They understand the match situation more than any of us experts. And yes, it is part of the learning process. Let them play their game and let them have fun

Not the playing 11, I think. 14 would remain the same. Remember they only named the 14 for the first test before it began. We still may see different playing 11.

shohid/rubel--- both should go, atleast shohid (SRk might come--my preferred one is robiul/alamin)

soumya or shuvagoto/ both--- need litton das or zubair hossain or both

Now the question is how many run Shahadat Hossain will leak? not how many wicket he will get. Everyone one said he is improved and different Shahadat Hossain now I just can't wait to see.

Our bowlers did well down Under so I don't get the reason why we can't have slightly more bowling friendly pitch. I think our batters are miles better than there's on bouncier tracks looks back at the last world to only see how well we recovered so well from such poor starts and got big totals. Not only that, last time BD came England they batted well, TAMIM scored back to back on bouncy English wicket - so I think we will be better than them on these such kind of wicket.
