Does Rony count as national team player? if so Ebadat Hossain should replace him.

Good squad... but some reason I think Kaye's will be fit in, which will be dumb decision.

From what I understand you can only field 4 players above the age fo 23. But there is no restrictions on players below 23 - so doesnt matter if they are national players or not. So Rony, litton, shanto can all be included and not count towards the 4 player quota.

This is interesting...

That opening pair is too inexperienced.
Saif might have a hard time making this squad; which I don't mind...he's still a young guy.And captain of the Under-19 team. Might have time to take some rest after BCL.
Let Anamul open with Afif. Right-left combination. Shanto comes at number #3.

Abu Jayed and Ebadat already crossed over 23. Saif as an one-day opener will be a terrible idea.

Noor Hossain did pretty good in that tournament(even though Bangladesh lost to UAE, not his fault). maybe he is worth another look.

Mashrafe to take part in practice match
Quote:
Bangladesh U-23 squad that will participate in the upcoming ACC Emerging Cup will play two practice matches among each other and Tigers limited-over captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza is set to be a part of it
Mashrafe will play the first practice match in Fatullah, scheduled for this Friday, and it will be part of his recovery process from a thumb injury.
Mashrafe fractured his right thumb during the third T20I against host New Zealand in January this year and is well on track to making a return in the limited-over matches against Sri Lanka later this month.
Chief of the national selection panel, Minhajul Abedin Nannu informed that the Bangladesh squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the Lankans has already been chalked down and is awaiting approval from BCB president Nazmul Hasan.
“Mashrafe, along with a few other players who will get included in the ODI team, will play the first practice match with the Emerging Cup team. We will be able to announce the team [Monday] hopefully,” said Minhajul yesterday.

Scorecard of first practice match. Zakir, Saif, and Nasir made fifties. Nasir also took the wicket of Mashrafe to help his team win.

Oh Eshen bro, thank you so much for this. ...I love to see scorecards like these...
Good performances by the youngsters.
Saif once again doing what he does best...consistency.
Zakir can really take this tournament to score big big...
Nasir also....
Thanks again

Azmir powers BCB Green
Quote:
Azmir Ahmed slammed an unbeaten hundred as BCB Green defeated BCB Red by 43 runs following the D/L method in the side's second practice match for the Emerging Teams Asia Cup at the Fatullah Cricket Stadium yesterday.
Azmir, who made headlines when he plundered a double-century in the 50-over Dhaka First Division Cricket League this season, led his side in their reply of BCB Red's total of 246.
Azmir hit 103 off 117 balls with 12 fours and a six as Green reached 181 for 2 in 36 overs before rain stopped the match. Mehedi Maruf provided support with a 59-ball 38.
The two teams will travel to Cox's Bazar on March 21 to play two more practice matches on March 22 and 23 before their group B matches against Hong Kong, Pakistan and Nepal.
|
Note: Azmir is yet to make his list-A debut.
