^^ Don't know about that. As for Bangladesh cricket, Akram Khan and Faruque Ahmed are also brother in laws, related through their wives.

You have a chance to see him again in a few days in BPL. I think he is that sort of a leader who tries to lead by example, and a bit like Dhoni in not showing any emotion and being calm and attacking.
Still pissed off by that shot though, should not have played that shot, if it costs the game I just fear he will be heavily criticized which might hurt his confidence...

I don't find much fault to Riyadh out yesterday. The game plan was if the ball is there to be hit I will hit. That ball was there to be hit. Also if Riyadh was not out that ball,, then probably 1 more full over was most likely.
Also I don't think he was thinking about his 50. If he would have think about his 50, then probably he would have think about it from few ball early (not in the last ball).
If you look the game plan of the whole Bangladesh team then you will find that they defended good ball and played aggressively to the lose ball. (Not only Riyad,,also Imrul and Tamim). Luckily Imrul survived few of them. Unlucky that Riyadh could not connect properly that ball.
It is part of cricket and it will happen in future as well. Don't be carried way too much. I think rest of the Bangladeshi player will play in the same manner today. And this is the right way to go in this pitch. If you are boobed down you are gone.
Hopefully we will set a target above 250 today and BD will make a history in this test.

As for those who care to not be blind and care to know what happened, for the 100th time, Mahmudullah Riyad was goated to play an ridiculous shot by Bairstow and the close in fielders. Riyad faced three balls that over. You could hear Bairstow egging Riyad to to dp something stupid the whole time.
"Hit it. Hit it. Inaudible huh? Can you? C'mon eh? huh? Inaudible."
Riyad Jumps down the track. Takes a single.
Kayes gives it back
More baiting, more trolling. " Inaudible... ?" Seems like a dare. A giant grin on Bairtow's face, looking directly at Riyad, eyeing him, sniffing his blood. Short leg joins in.
Riyad walks away from the stumps, trying to kill time.
The players are yapping away getting in his ears. They smelled blood.
All the bowler had to do now is just bowl a half a decent ball in line with the middle stump. You all know what happened next. Bairstow celebrated like it was HIS wicket and it was. Short leg and Captain Cook celebrated like they won a world war.
It's not just when he played that shot, how he played, or what an ugly shot he played but the fact that he got baited, so easily. His ego tried to win a battle that was already won. Weak! Usual weak *** temperament from these in-laws.
So when you say, "He scored 47 runs!" "It wasn't the last over." "We should flipping appreciate more!" -- I don't have a flipping idea what the hell some of you are talking about! You can't be this naive about this game. Most of you have been watching, following cricket longer than I have, the lack general knowledge in this forum is
I wish they would release the tape so I can play it on a loop for you all!

A real ****ing badass MAN he would've been had he hit it out of the park, right?! A real manly man!
As opposed to walking off the pitch, not out*, the team with a lead of 123 and 8 wickets in hand. A six would've been better right!

So many times our players tried to defend in last few overs and gave way their wickets. If you follow our cricket for a long time you would probably know it.
I know Riyadh made it look ugly but they needed to counter attack and they have done the right thing in this pitch so far. If we played negatively yesterday then may be we would have been 80/2 by the close. But 150/3 is far better for my taking...

Deliscoop,, By your quote you at least acknowledged that Riyadh did not play that shot for his fifty rather he was trapped by his ego. So he is not selfish (what most of the people thinking here). Blaming some one selfish (Who has served the country for such a long time) is a crime to me.
Mushfiq tried to block everything in the last few overs of 1st test 1st innings and we all know what happened. Riyadh tried leave everything of stocks in the first innings and then he made a khocha,, All this things played in their mind yesterday which is not unusual.

Idiot shot is idiot shot is idiot shot. The motive behind it irrelevant.
"So it wasn't his 50, it was his ego" -- was that supposed to be in defense of Riyad? Don't help.
"Mushy tried to block and go out" -- how's that relevent? He didn't try to sensibly because his brother-in-law got out by trying to play over cautiously? HA! No, he played that shot, again read the script.
2ndly, no one was outraged with Mushy getting out playing over cautiously. If anything, they simply pointed it out. Because getting out isn't the problem. It's how they get out.
Zero gift wickets from the opposition. Mizzy had to earn all his wickets.

Mizzy had to earn all his wickets? Really? Did you see Moeen out yesterday? Wasn't it same Idiot shot like Mahmudulah?
I am not refusing that it wasn't a Idiot shot. All I want to say that it is part of game. Why so much noise about it. we are still in a better position and lets look forward.

Moeen swept because that's how they planned to tackle our spinners. they came out with a plan to sweep. And it was badly excuted plan on Mo's part. Pretty sure #9, #10 perfected that plan. But fine, that's one bad wicket for Bangladesh 8-9 at least. You're counters are weak. If you admit that it was a stupid shot, then there's no further discussion.
... Except this shot was more just a stupid shot. He got mind trapped so easily!! He could've played half as bad a shot to get out, but the point is, he got baited, so easily!

Little Bhair followed big bhaira. Playing same shot off the 5th stump line, and gave Englands slip a catching practice. Both these Bhairas copy one anothers shots in terms of how to get out.

Lol Riyad can drop all the dollies he gets at slip and Rahim still won't remove him, he needs his pansy close and beside him for their pillow-talk, laugh about their drops, and gossip like little girls about the rest of the players
