I can't see how Law is going to be an upgrade over Siddons. Having watched the recent England-Sri Lanka test series, I get the feeling Law will be less aggressive/inspiring than Siddons. Sri Lanka looked really flat in the field for most of the series, and their tactics seemed too defensive.

What are Stuart Law's coaching credentials?
When Sri Lanka appointed him as Assistant Coach in November-2009, the SLC justified the selection by saying that Law "has a good knowledge of cricket and conditions around the world".

I sincerely hope good knowledge of cricket and conditions around the world suit our coaching needs.

Coaching a side like Bangladesh is always challenging, you are screwed unless you really are an expert.

Nope. I don't want him to be as great as Bongobondhu, the matter of fact, we won't have another Bongobondhu in Bangladesh.

Back to the topic, my point is when you do not know anything about a team, their structure, talent pipeline then how can you simply comment that, "there are lots of talents in Bangladesh and when he was asked name a few, he could not recall other than 1-2. He is in complete dark as far as Bangladesh team is concern. At least he could have researched a bit and make concrete comments. I personally don't want to hear bogus talks. No more fans pleasing dialogues, Please.

I just wanted to take this chance of wishing Stuart all the best.

It is always hard to come in from outside of Bangladesh initially. It took me a few weeks to settle in and understand the thinking processes within the team. It will be vital for Stuart to get to grips with that. I don't think he will have much time to do much coaching sadly as the series come a bit thick and fast this year.

He has some super players at his disposal... I wish him well

I dont know but i feel we have had enough from the Aussies, I personally feel we should have a break from them. A coach from eng or SA could have been a better choice. However as Law is officially selected we should support him.

Lets see what he has to offer....we really need some quality back-up players at the moment.
Hopefully he can contribute his ideas to modify our domestic structure.

All the best to Stuart Law. I hope both the fans and the administrators would give the man a fair amount of time settle in with our cricketers before jumping into conclusions.
I also hope to see us play an attacking brand of cricket which has been missing (with the exception of Tamim) for many years now

If the decision is already made - I would say it's a good one!

Welcome Mr. Law in our Tiger-Land. And make the Tigers world champ in 2015

I would personally prefer someone with vast experience of caoching first class teams. A county coach specifically would bring ooprtunity for our cricketers to play in county teams which would help our cricket indirectly. Considering the current state of our cricket I can't justify bcb's decision to appoint an untested, unproven coach. The world is already screaming for icc to take away our test status. Its has been too much of a gmable. Teams like australia, india, england, south africa can experiement with coaches, not us. I don't understand lota's fascination with familiar names. Anyway, whats done is done. We can't actually expect a smart move from bcb. So welcome Mr. Law.

Correct, no one would find deficiency in Talent at the starting...and @ departing all would find nonprofessional-cricket-authority...

It's a better safe than sorry policy.
