Yes I agree Al-Amin deserve a slot over Rubel based on how Rubel bowled in 1st ODI.
If Rubel and Taskin continue to bowl like they did most of the game (except death bowling), Afganistan would not need death overs...the game would be over before that. in 1st ODI the spinners ( and Mashrafee) saved their as$.
Like him or hate him, Al Amin proved that he is a wicket taker. With Al-Amin along with the spinners and Mashrafee there would be no need for death bowling as the innings would be over before that.

I agree with Sujon. What he ( সৌম্য সরকার) did since the WC wasn't a fluke. His crisp square cuts and drives.... unstoppable. So elegant looking. Class written all over the place. I don't know what he had lost. The confidence may be?
One big inning and England would crying.

Has there ever been a match where there weren't any scapegoats?

Usually winning against better teams wouldn't have any scapegoats. They would have GOATs. Greatest Of All Time s.

We need to be more clinical, play harder. Soumya is class and will come good, one innings and he will be back.m, just needs some time. I'd leave mr kaedge out as I've never been a fan of him im ODI's or T20s and never will even if he scores a 100 off 100, Kaedge is so effing edgy, wastes too many balls and hence it puts pressure on rest, as I said elsewhere we have many who can do the accumulation job so kaedge is wasting a spot. Mosaedkh for Kaedge. Somehow I feel we need to get Nasir Hossain into the side, he is a very valueble ODI player, I might even be tempted to bat him at 3, he did bat at the top order 2012 asia cup, ideally Nasir suits somewhere in the top 5 and not 7 or 8 but batting order top 5 is congested. Somehow need to get him in, I feel.

Al Amin gets lucky wickets. Rubel and Taskin create opportunities and can reverse york batsmen at the death. Al Amin will get tonked with his 130 kph half trackers. Al amin wont scare anyone, not even afghans. Plus he fields like a wimp.

dude just let it go.. Some people here really dislike some player. Not matter what they do it won't change their mind. Which is quite absurd esp considering these are our own players. Came and raised from very same place that we have. Someone here hate mash, some mushy, some tamim, some al amin. For example, al furqaan really dislikes al amin and T_E bhaiya (who i really respect ) not really fond of mushy. Nothing they do will change their mind. They will remain silent when they do well but as soon as their performance get bad even in the slightest they will start bashing. Arguing with them about these players is useless.

Nothing less than a convincing win will do for BD, if our bowling dept. can perform to their potential + fielding, there is no reason for otherwise.
And to me, Al Amin in or out doesnt matter, should not be a matter either.

Al Amin gets lucky wicket ofcourse
Obviously, only luck can get you wickets. Why else will he have an average less than 25 in ODIs in 15 matches and below-20 in T20s and is ranked among the top 10 bowlers in T20 rankings.

Give Soumya this whole series and maybe the English Series to come back. We Have many players trying hard to break into the ODI Team: Mosaddek, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Anamul Haque, Mominul Haque etc...

Picking wickets consistently is no luck, it's a skill. Cricket is a game of deception, if you deceive the batsmen you win the game

Al-Amin is the least convincing pacer from the whole lot. Doesn't matter he got wickets...the wickets mostly are from luck not from the venom in his ball. Mostly batsmen got out trying to blast bad balls from him. With the Fizz fit, Al-amin would be the fifth choice for me from the bowling line-up. I would even consider Kamrul Islam Rabbi over Al-Amin.

Almin is decent. Abu Hider Rony will be one for the future. Need to too see how Hider and Kamrul Get on BPL4. Don't know much of Kamrul, is he LO type bowler or test? We definitely need Test Pacers.
