I'm working on making the match thread for our first WC 2007 match.
Kidding aside, this trend of a race to the match thread is getting annoying. This thread is a perfect example of that. 65 hours in advance? Come on! In most of the other sports forums I go to, a match thread is deleted if it is done before 24 hours of the actual start time.
ps: What's the race about anyway? You basically use the same layout Nasif/Zunaid/Arnab came up with and simply replace the names, time, venue etc. There's not much creativity left. It's not like one of you is doing a better job than the other.

its actually not true.I tried to change the colors in the SL BD match thread but was requested by the mods to revert back.
And about the structure,i changed almost the whole structure of the match thread in the kenya match,the post with which the first button thread was posted was full of html code,but i replaced all of them with BB codes this time.

BTW,BC is a great place and i love being here opening match threads,so prepare to see the real dog fight in the air for the third match thread.
Can we stop this race of opening match threads. If this goes like this I won't be surprised seeing match threads weeks before the match - which really will be funny.
I propose all the match threads be opened by only one nick "banglacricket". And only admins could use that nick.

Don't tempt me. I don't care too much about opening match threads, unless there is a reason. In my 15+ month of membership, I opened two match threads so far. The first one was to piss of the superstitious group, and the second one was a response to your "too early" match thread.
I think moderators should invite bids for opening a match thread. The potential candidates should give reasons (something new or creativity?) why they should be allowed to open match thread. In that way we can have a bit of fun and also the one who makes the best bid will be able to open the match thread.
If it is too much hassle, then the candidates can submit their names and mods can just pick one like lottery style.
