If you compare both sides, Sri Lanka have more world class player than we do.. we need to check each of them to make sure they don't get away with all the credits.. will be very tough to bowled them out, we're very lucky to have Sakib coming on form.. I hope he continues his superb form in this series as well.. he is the only player can make a big difference to our team, I’ve given up hope on Ashraful and don’t think we have much chance of winning test or ODI.. it will be one sided match

We're taking Bangladesh tour very seriously - Jayawardene
Mahela Jayawardene, the Sri Lankan captain, has said the upcoming Test and ODI series in Bangladesh will be taken "very seriously" given the lack of international cricket for his team.
"We are approaching this series very seriously. Bangladesh has come a long way especially in the last six months," he told the Sunday Times. "In addition we do not have any international cricket for about four to five months after this series, thus it takes on even more significance and obviously we will be going all out to win both the Test and tri-nation series."

Offcourse they are worried. Perfect opportunity to increase their already bulging average to a new heights, esp in the tests.
With next few months off, they can "joborfy" on this averages and make up for the lost ones at the start of next season's early jitters.

Jaysuria is probably eyeing to score another double century against us, while Jay doesn't wanna leg behind. I am really excited about the fact that our so called talented players will be facing the new spin sensation known as Ajentha Mendis.

Mendis' record against out batters aren't that good as per record. So don't be much excited as a SL fan!

Here are some realistic goals. For tests: Survive 4 days and lose on the 5th with respect; this one needs above average performance from Roqibul, Mushi or Shakib. Tamim is maturing if he can give us some runs early, that will serve as our life line.
For ODI's: Our batting average has improved, but SL has too many very good players. So winning an ODI needs some luck

Dilhara ruled out of Ranji Trophy
Vadodara - Sri Lankan pacer Dilhara Fernando, who was roped in by Baroda as their overseas player in this season’s Ranji Trophy, has been ruled out for the rest of the tournament because of an ankle injury.
"Fernando has received an injury on his ankle which will keep him out from playing for Baroda Ranji Team during this season," BCA secretary Samarjit Sinh Gaekwad said.
The BCA had signed up with Fernando to play for Baroda in the Ranji Trophy this season after BCCI allowed accommodation of overseas player in the domestic competition.

Just saw this news, He is still part of the test and ODI squad not sure if he has pulled out of Bangladesh tour. Although Murali and Vaas has been tormenting our batsmen ever since we been playing against them. I have seen this guy come in at times and changed the course of the game when teams are doing reasonably well or trying to rebuild in test and ODI. He is a partnership breaker. And who could forget during WC2007 Ravi Bopara getting bowled by him with the final ball
when England needed just 2 run to win the match.
Part of me wants him to sit out but another part tells me he should recover quickly and test our boys, so that they can learn how to face tall fast bowler. He bowls at 88+ mph and one of his unique speciality is split finger slow ball, which has surprised few good batsmen around the world.

Mendis in doubt for Bangladesh tour
Record chasing fast bowler Ajantha Mendis is doubtful for Sri Lanka’s Test and triangular series tour of Bangladesh which begins end of December, the Daily Mirror learns.
Mendis sustained an ankle injury when he turned to appeal during the recently concluded tour of Zimbabwe and has been prescribed a minimum three week’s rest before he could get back to training which would effectively rule him out of the first Test against Bangladesh starting on December 26.
A medical report on the exact condition of Mendis’ recovery state is expected to be submitted today.
Mendis is within striking distance of becoming the fastest to reach 50 wickets in one-day internationals needing just two scalps after playing in 17 games.
The record is held by India’s Ajith Agarkar who took 50 wickets in 23 games.
Sri Lanka plays two Tests against Bangladesh before contesting a triangular series against the host country and Zimbabwe. Sources said that left arm spinner Rangana Herath is the likely replacement for Mendis in teh test series.

Mendis just survived few more days! He holds the worst record against our batters compare to other Test Nations. I wish him a quick recovery and want to see him blasted by our beloved Ashraful and Co.
