Today I was really very happy when Nasser Hossain said these two batsmen (Ashraful and Aftab) are the best two batsmen of Asia in Twenty20 cricket.

They just need a bit restraint in shot making and they are able to lift us to the semi-final.

Tamim was consistent with his dodgy sweep or whatever it was, as if he doesn't really wanna be there.. twice in a row he got out this way. Please Tamim take it seriously for once!

Where is Nazimuddin??? I thought he is our new star who will stun the world, I even had him on my fantasy cricket league ( now losing all my points coz of him). Well whatever it is, hope he can come back tomorrow.

Kapali well I hope the reason today for scoring 13 off 34 balls was because we lost almost all the wickets and he was making sure we can stay at least for 20 overs.

Well all the best for tomorrow.

Ashrafool shala arekbar jole uthuk. Aftab will play his natural game as usual. Mashrafe should get his bowling form back and maintain 85-86 kmh bowling speed with good line and lenght. I am missing Rafique is this game.

Yes, I heard that too! Absolutely love Nasser... With Tendulkar, Dravid, Yousuf, Inzi retiring within a year or two, Ash is the natural heir to these great batsmen. Insha-allah, Ash will be more consistent day by day. Lets not forget he is still very young and already have quite a few reccords under his belt, despite, playing for a country which isn't quite established yet in cricketing terms.

Aftab would be a perfect foil for Ash in all forms of cricket. Although, Aftab needs to improve his game when playing the spinners. He has definitely improved in this area and only can better.

Good luck Bangladesh.
Fear bangladesh......We are coming today with same strategy as we have played against south Africa.

ধলাই মলাই থলাই করব অথবা মরব।

Ash and co...play like you have wickets to fall like following

Do or die.

Miraz bhai be ready with the bulletin...a Bangladeshi Recipe for kangaroo curry...

I dont think he will. But for the sake of the game and for the sake of being in the tournament, he should be replaced ASAP. This is no place for second chances. Its do or die.

If it lasts for 15 overs (equivalent to 90 balls), we would beat the world XI

I just hope our batsmen learn to draw the line between being aggressive and being stupid. As Andrew McGlashan wrote in a Cricinfo article -
"There has never been any doubting their ability to play shots, but even in Twenty20 there is a judgment call to be made. Mohammad Ashraful opened his innings with a majestic first-ball six over square leg then scooped his next delivery over short fine leg. Ten in two balls is plenty, but the adrenalin was coursing through Ashraful's veins and he couldn't stop, miscuing his third ball to Graeme Smith at mid-on. "
That is the point. We just have to know when to put the brakes on and when to move into 3rd/4th gear.
Anyway, hp today turns out to be among our world conquering days. Go, BD.

After iftar today, I took a short nap. While sleeping, I had an epiphany.

Bangladesh will chase the Aussie score tomorrow, and will win EMPHATICALLY.

Inshallah, the Tigers will skin the Kangaroos tomorrow. GO BANGLADESH!

I am hopeful about tomorrow's game... as long as batsmen keep their cool and reduce the number of risky shots. Winning the toss and batting second will definitely us the advantage!!!

I think we have a better chance of defeating Australia than we have of beating Srianka so InshAllah we will take advantage of our opportunities and play a fighting game today, and if Bagladesh can do that, they can beat anyteam in anyday.

GO BANGLADESH GO!!!
