I think the purpose of those sub-forums that we have right now is to organize the threads on certain global tournaments that get reasonnable interest from our members. We could do without having sub-forums for domestic leagues.

Here's another alternative:

***

CRICKET (5 forums)

Bangladesh Cricket (1 sub-category for organization)
- Banglacricket Awards

International Cricket (3 sub-categories for organization)
- ICC World Cup 2011 (moved under International Cricket as a sub-category)

- ICC T20 World Cup 2010

Other Leagues and Tournaments (1 sub-category for organization)
- IPL
(ICL + ICC Champtions Trophy sub-categories could be dissolved under the main category)

Simulations and Fantasy Cricket

ARCHIVE (3 forums)

Match Archive (moved up)
BC Articles and Bulletins

Can we get the team shrink for live and exclusive discussion as well,

Quote:
DHAKA: Bangladesh have put their celebrations for last Monday's crucial six-wicket win over the Netherlands on hold until they are assured of a place in the quarterfinal in the cricket World Cup.

"We have bigger picture in our mind and this is the reason we want to go slow," Soumendra Saha, the Indian sports psychologist of Bangladesh team, told New Age on Tuesday.

Can we have the "Like" button next to the "quote" "multi quote" button under each post, just like we have in Facebook ?

Instead of going " I like", "nice post" "top post" "great post" " i agree", we can just click the "Like" button which would save both time and space.

No! No LIKE button. I am really tired of it. People on youtube are pissed off about it. They miss the STARs.

It would be kool if you have those old youtube stars under every threads and posts. That way we will know which posts to really read and which posts to really ignore. I know we have a thread rating system, but that's not what I am talking about. Also it doesn't even work

Dilscoop, this is BC, not Youtube.
They miss their stars, its upto them.
We shouldn't be guided by the choice youtube members make for their website.

BC functionality is complete different from Youtube.

Yes, rating under each post is not a bad idea, but "liking" a post is different from rating it.
The "like" should be visible too, ie, name of the member who is liking the post should be visible.

I know bc is not youtube. I used youtube as an example. Youtube is "IN".

And you make it sound like youtube-ers are from a different land. They are us. I doubt there is one BC member who isn't a youtuber. So you can relate both.

Which one are you talking about? Front page or forum scorecard? I don't see any WI scorecard, not sure what you are referring to. The scorecard is dynamic, as new games take place; it gets changed automatically.

Murad - you are right. While the scores displayed are for the current game, the link takes you to the WI game. This appears to be a VCricket bug.

Does BC require input from captcha during registration? Maybe affixing something like that will greatly help weed out unnecessary spammers.

Captcha has always been there in bc; as well as email validation. The spam today was from real human, not automated tool.

An interview of the outgoing head coach would be nice.

I am sure this has crossed the minds of the mods, but how about a sub-forum for all the Discussion-with-Coach threads? =)

1) Apply #hashtag on BC like twitter?
2) Section for all the official thread. "Official 'Official Thread' Section"

BC clock for the BD Zim series needs to be fixed.
It shows the game is in approx 43 days, where it is still more than 2 months away.
May 19th - Aug 4th, I think its approx 76 days, if I'm not mistaken.

I request that people do not use the Bangla font [at least not on cricket topics (for replying that it) some times it has to be used when you paste articles that are in Bangla and that is understandable]. It is Banglacricket and I love and respect the language as much as anyone else but it becomes difficult to follow if one does not know the language or cannot read/write it fluently, because then they can no longer take part in the discussion.

Please look in to this. Or we could also have a sub forum where its dedicated completely to writing/discussing in Bangla.
