Alhamdulillah.. Finally we won a match in 2014. It looks there are some serious issues somewhere in the team. Having said that, it was just a T20 .Winning a T20 match with 7 balls remaining ... Is not that bad either.
Congratulations to BD team and also to me for openning first ever match thread .. A Win for tigers. I'll take that

Until match losers are dropped we will continue to be the laughing stock of the world in cricket.
Lala, Riyad, Phorhad just NO.
Mominul, Al Amin don't belong in this format.

No point winning unofficial matches and then end up losing the official ones to Afghans.
Anyways congrats

A very shaky win but that was expected when our team has lost so many games in a row.
Next match against Ireland will be harder so we have to come out better than today

Can we afford to be that picky though? Look at how bad Nasir has been. Why not call him out?
Our team has performed bad as a whole. Not just 1 or 2 players

Feeling so bad not to see Zia in the world cup squad. He could have been handy with his wicket to wicket bowling. Sunny could have been a better choice than Razzak as well. After today's performance it's became really hard to keep the expectations high for this world cup. Now let's just hope for the best and keep praying.

Wow looks like just about got there in the end! Against not even semi pro team!
What is Mominul doing in the t20 side man? BD selectors need to fix up, no way Mominul is t20 suited player. WE have plenty more who are better suited to t20 than mominul, Just let the young fella focus on tests and odi's.
I wanna see shamsur rahaman in the next warm up insted of mominul, even if its down the late order position. Shamsur is proper t20 batsmen and he can play big shots against spin very well.
I'd go with this next warm up:
Tamim
Shamsur
Anamul
Shakib
Mushy
Shabbir
Mullah
Reza (wish I could have picked Ziaur instead but zia isnt in the sqaud!! - Ziaur is tailor made for t20 plus he could have been very handy with his tight bowling)
Razzak
AL Amin
Rubel

Nassir Hossain is struggling even against UAE, to score quickly and well LOL. The boy is out of form. Sooner some people realise it the better for BD cricket! drop him next warm up match!

Nasir comes late in the batting order in ODI and T20. And he is not routinely used as a part time bowler. That makes Nasir's role in the team very specific, i.e. when he comes, he need to start scoring from get-go. Unlike other bowling rounders and becuse he has only one specitic role, its expected that he will score runs in good SR in consistent basis.
There is no room for him to start slowly and catchup the RR later on, or he can get a century and get breathing room/ jail free pass so that in his next few innings he can get away with low scores.
Its not that easy to survive in that very specific role set by the management, specially when you are struggling.
Team management need to think hard and fast how he should be used in near future with the consideration that he is struggling right now:
a) Either they need to make the hard choice to drop him with the hope that he will regain his form back in local league; or
b) Continue to keep him in the team with expanded role ( and minimize the pressure) and hope that he will eventually regain his form back. That means a commitment from the managementment that they will constantly use nasir as a part time bowler (6th bowler) also. And also promote him in the batting order (few slots may be) so that he has more time to rebuild his innings without worring about his RR at the begining.
Now t20 is a completely different format and (unlike ODI) keep good RR is always important from the begining of the iinings. Pressure to scoring quick runs wlll always be there regardless where he start his innings in T20.

BD team has reclaimed the Minnow tag once again
Yes its a win, but not a convinving one.
What a team BD has become lately....has to wobble against a team made up of part timers (no disrespect to UAE).
This was a side that was able to win a tournament last year and has invented the term Banglawash. And now the team has become unprofessional and plays like amateurs.
Yes the Associate teams have improved however I feel BD team players have got the better of themselves after recent successes and stopped cocentrating on their training.

doesn't seem like a convincing win. Bad team combination. Reza is wasting a valuale spot for Zia.

BAN can't contain any team with their pathetic bowling. They are lucky they were playing against part time batsman with a day job. If it was any other team, they would have scored near 200.

HK also beat Ireland by 7 wickets not too long ago if I'm not mistaken. No pressure boys
