Yeah they were pretty good but you should have seen Katich's fielding blunder. LOL! That's going to go down as one of the most embarrassing fielding mistakes ever

Where are our multi-skilled players ? The way Mashrafee had been playing he should be dropped, same for Ashraful.

What happened to Alok ?

I sacrificed a bit for this match as well. I usually sleep around 3am but I went to bed at 11pm and woke up at 4am just to follow our crap batting :p

What happened to our tailenders? Rafique, Mashrafee, Razzak and Rasel added a GRAND TOTAL of 11 runs. Our tail used to be pretty good, but in this series, our tailenders have been pretty useless with the bat.

Alok had a freak accident in the morning before the match began. Apparently he got hit on his face by a ball richocheting off a stump!

Aftab Ahmed was the best batsman with a array of crisp strokes, most of which went straight to the fielders. He targeted Mitchell Johnson, the left-arm quick, in particular, ferociously cutting over point and using his pace to glance fours to fine leg. The shot of the morning was a blistering pull shot that sailed over the deep square-leg fence. While Aftab was picking up runs quickly enough, Mohammad Ashraful, normally a flamboyant batsman who loves finding the fence, struggled to even rotate strike. The frustration built up during his 5 off 22 balls resulted in a failed attempt to clear mid-off. Lee then struck the most crucial blow by deceiving Aftab with a cunning slower ball to reduce Bangladesh to 79 for 4.

Looks like Alok is very unlucky these days, some said he got out couple of time unlucky in kenya series too.

I think it was bracken who dived to save a boundary and then came along Katich trying to pick up the ball on the bounce (about a meter from the rope), instead he pushed it over the boundary using his finger tips. :p You should have seen the look on the Aussies' faces...

the pitch is a btting paradise with a bit of spin. Aussies will be comfortable with this unless they loose 2-3 early wickets.

the pitch is actually very good for batting and with all the top ranked batmen... unless there's a miracle...

No clue. But from personal experience, getting a ball in your face early in the morning usually spoils rest of the day. I hate that dizzy feeling!

CricInfo Bulletin:
...Bangladesh's hopes of replicating the upset at Sophia Gardens were fading fast as Australia's bowlers induced their batsmen into rash strokes and soft dismissals in the first one-dayer at Chittagong...

No matter how many runs our batsmen score most of the time their dismissals can be labeled as "soft dismissal" or "gift to the bowler" or "rash shots" or "run out in a calling mess up." Usually good batsmen get out by great deliveries or great direct throw. They hardly throw their wickets away. Our batsmen should be penalized for throwing wickets even if they get out after great 50 or 100.

It is absolutely true. BD lost 5 wicket in 42 over.....then lost all in 47 over......it is very shame that BD didn't bat for 50 over.......Again Bashar make 50.......and as usual throw his wicket.......I think Bashar always think that if I make 50.....that's all......I hope a big score from Pilot.....he disappointed like others.....and there i nothing to say about Rajin and Ashraful......They should know that they are playing against Australia not Kenya......
