No, Mash will give his usual speech about if we had scored 20 -30 more runs, we would have won the match!

What about the day before yesterday when he was smashing it to all parts the day before yesterday

Seriously though, it seems that Shakib bats well in the first match of a bilateral series and then falls away during the rest of the tournament.

What makes my blood boil is when people come from England, SA and all these other parts of the world and school us on how to play on our conditions, our pitch and our backyard. Why can't we figure out our own ground after playing on it for so many years ?

Playing on pitches like Mirpur all your life and our batsmen still struggle like they're new to this ground

I ask the same question - but fact is facts. Our batting is just not there. Stupid unnecessary shots forever going on.

Shakib's first ODI performances in recent times:

England, 2016: 79, 3, ...

Afghanistan, 2016: 48, 17, 17

Zimbabwe, 2015: 16

South Africa, 2015: 48, 0*, DNB

India, 2015: 52, 51*, 20

Pakistan, 2015: 31, 7*, DNB

World Cup, 2015: 63, 46, 52*, 2, 23, 10

Zimbabwe, 2014: 101, 0, 40, 1, 0

Partly due to dominant top order performances but perhaps also to falling away as a series progresses? Seems to be a trend since his comeback in late 2014.
