CL board member Dean Jones said the world's financial crisis and the fact that the India cricket team's tour of New Zealand had been lengthened and would have clashed with the ICL were key reasons for the decision.

seems even ICL care about India's schedule!

this is hilarious...aftab and SN, alok must be banging their heads against the wall...lol...March cancelled...God knows what will happen later this year... and what about their salaries...CI reports that many people's packages may be downgraded or some will be released...what a waste
- interestingly even if there is a tournament in October...how will our boys perform without any high level cricket for 9 mths...look at Cairns for example - his performance has plummeted
As Lance Armstrong once said "The riskiest thing you can do is get greedy"

ICL cancels World Series in March
ICL cancels World Series in March
The ICL has hit recession mode with a series of moves that reflect the current economic realities. The World Series Twenty20 tournament, scheduled for March, now stands cancelled, and payments to players have been put on hold until the management completes a stringent performance review that could lead to downgrading of payments and even sackings...

I have heard that Dhaka Warriors players didn't get full payment for first year. Now I am wondering whether SN will tell after this ,"Icl is biggest thing happen in my life" or Dhiman ghosh,"I did enough for my country"

Those two (SN and Dhiman) will never wear Red and Green again. They simply lost the right to do so.

I hope by this time next year we would hear IPL is canceled also. Hope ICL die by the end of the year and Dhaka Traitors ask for forgiveness from the fan. SN and Dhiman took a job other than cricket.

My worst fear is that Aftab, SN, Nazimuddin might get divorced from thier wives

The reason sounds logical to me, because their main source of income is from sponsorships & it will be hard to get sponsors while India is touring NZ. Even if they get, the Sponsors will like to lower the stakes because viewers will be less. Then comes IPL. So holding it after IPL makes commercial sense.
