I hear you, bro! At one point, I said to myself, I would NEVER open a match thread again...EVER...and after todays excruciating torment, I will not be in a hurry to open any new ones any soon...KP and others are well suited to carry this sort of burdens.

If bd beats saf, we play the winner of Pak vs Aus match. how?
q-f#1 ind vs eng
q-f#2 bd vs saf
q-f#3 sl vs nz
q-f#4 pak vs aus
now look at the icc fixture:
on 27th feb,
s-f#1 to be played between winner of q-f#1 & q-f#2 (this is a mistake by icc)
on 29th feb,
s-f#2 to be played between winner of q-f#2 & q-f#4
now where is the winner of q-f#3????
we can get an idea from the line-up of play off semi finals
it shows,
play off s-f #1 will be played between the losers of qf#1 & q-f #3
play off s-f #2 will be played between the losers of qf# 2 & q-f # 4
therefore it becomes clear that since semi final will be played between the winners of q-f 2 (bd vs saf) and q-f #4 (pak vs aus)
SO IT'S NOT INDIA IN THE SEMI FINALS FOR BANGLADESH.

I have a quick question. All these time, I thought Mithun Ali is the keeper for under-19 team. He played most of the practice game as keeper. How come Ashiqul Islam came out of nowhere and started keeping? I am not complaining. Just curious...

Bangladesh, who were 49 for 7 at one stage, launched an amazing rearguard-act to clinch a 13-run scrap over England at the Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur to finish at the top of Group D. Both teams had already qualified for the quarter-finals, where Bangladesh will take on South Africa and England will face India.

They drafted him late. But he is pretty good isn't he?

Shuvo's calmness, sheer determination and sensible batting without stupidity has brought us this unique victory. I hope he will continue like this and replace someone in the national team.

Proud of the boys. This English U/19 team is much stronger than last England U/19 team. Most of the boys in this team already got their debuts in the county league whereas players of the last team had not played beyond county 2nd XI level.
On the otherhand, most of our boys have not yet played in NCL or in Dhaka premier league. I am very hopeful that this group of U/19 boys will turn out to be much better than last batch once they gain more experience.
