Or you are having an "Indian day" (sorry for cursing at you) and blaming the defeat on our players non-performance and not giving the full credit to SLans. The Srilankans will slay them and not eat the meat. It would be like teasing, and killing for fun. Some lions do that. That bad. I am not coming to work after the Jumma.

I will scream for SL, no doubt. But I think, Ind has the biggest stake in this game: do or die. SL's motivation is taking the 2 ponits. I dont see it is a big motivation. Rather the media propaganda machine, ICC, officials on the field and no doubt the bookies out side the field will make sure Ind wins!

I think india will hit back you never know. SL looked superior cause we could give them anything to think and what not. they also played good but when india hit back i am not sure SL will look as fearsome as yesterday...

SL has low probablity of lifting the cup without those 2 points.

I think BD should get a chance to the super8s because I do not see in the near future BD getting any chance of playing so many matches against the power house of cricket. It will test out where BD stands among the big guns, how much they have learnt, how much they can take and what they can do for BD cricket in the coming years. We all know what India can do, they can become WC champions, last time they were runners up, for BD they will have to wait another 4 years to get a chance to play against such teams one after another.

I don't remember a game two foreign country playing and I'm having blood rush. To be honest, India has the better chance. It will be billion dollars against 11 SL players. Umm.. as long as it is against 11 SL players there will still be chances. I just hope money does not buy anything more than that. But I don't believe in the statement that SL will not be motivated enough. Without the two points, they will be already in back foot in second round and will have a slim chance to go to the semis.
I think a watchdog panel should be already ready from the beginning of the the game to make sure there is no foul smell in the game.
And if India wins, Bangladesh Police should launch a match fixing investigation (remember, India police has match fixing investigation about BD-Pak match?)

Ok since you guys brought it up, India can't do jack out side their comfort zone (babubhai comfort Inn'er price koto?). When pressured they run other way. And for the last world cup they played Kenya in semis for crying out loud. How did Kenya get in to semi, read it "match forfieted". And the final comment on indian gods are That Danguly, tendu, Dravid is no longer in the same form. They are over the hill. Age did catch them. They may beat up on bermuda but there is a huge difference between Bermuda and SL. Bd, is in great shape. i am penciling down matches against WI and England (if they can qualify first).

I think Dravid and Yuvraj will shine and take India to the next round. they always do that when India is in dire situation.

In 1983 world cup, India lost its first match by 5 wickets.
In 2007 world cup, India lost its first match by 5 wickets.
1982 Football World Cup won by Italy
1983 Cricket World Cup won by India
2006 Football World Cup won by Italy
2007 Cricket World Cup: INDIA ???

even if sri lanka didn't need to carry two points to the next round, losing to india would be a set back since that would mean that they may have difficulties lifting the cup (psychologically). besides, if india are out of contention, there's no way they'll meet them in the semis or the finals, so that's one big name down.
i don't think motivation is a factor at all.

In 1983 BD didn't play WC.
India won the WC.
In 2011 BD is playing WC.
No way they can go the second round let alone win it.

Why is this dollar thingy coming in so much ? As cricket fans, lets focus on the game being played on the field, and lets talk about cricket. C'mon.

I think most people are getting me wrong. Money does come in, it is not a fault of Indian team nor it is a fault of Indian fans. However, the fact is that, to be able to exploit Indian markets big companies need cricket as a mean. And like it or not, it is a huge market. Corporate World never seats on its *donkey* and do nothing when there is a big chance of monitory lose. It never happens and will not happen. Corporate World need India to go to 2nd round, and they will try whatever they can to make it happen. I'm not saying that they will be successful, but they will try for sure.
Then comes the bookies. Again, they are neither Indian cricketer nor Indian cricket fans. But their bread and butter depends on Indian cricket team. So, they will do whatever they can. It is not going to be easy for SL to defeat these two opponents. If they can, the rest is not too hard. India is not in a great form and their performance outside the subcontinent is always dismal.

India is going to win Friday's match, they have more at stake than Srilanka and the big guns(Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid) are going to fire... Bangladesh is down and out, we had our chances of playing well against Srilanka but we threw away that opportunity. Because of this we will have some improbable win margin against Bermuda to qualify..
What if India wins against Lanka and we loose to Bermuda? That would be really bad! Just prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

What do u mean by " they will do whatever they can"
Do u mean they will bribe match officials ?
Or they will fix it with sri-lankan players ?
That is what you are trying to say here, isnt it ?

It can give LBWs or decline them depending on who is in the receiving end.
