S.raza had a contract dispute, don’t remember the details properly now but think there was some dispute about him playing in another leagues and not getting permission so ZC didn’t renew his contract or pick him for the upcoming series but all of a sudden it’s been resolved? Bit strange that he was all of a sudden added to the squad.

^ Well, they do need him. And it will do Bd good to face the best possible Zim. So good news all in all.

Looks like riyad will be captain, but he has a rib injury, hopefully it’s fully recovered in time.

I think the boyz will respond to Riyad more than Rahim, because Riyad did not take as long as Rahim before finally settling in the team. And Riyad does not single out players and scold them in front of everyone else like Rahim. Rahim is an absolute locker room cancer. Should bat only, and given his own locker room.

I do believe riyad is a better captain than mushy, think he’s better than shakib as well. Hopefully his rib issue will heal before the series, don’t want to risk another injury before WC with any of the seniors.

I wonder what inspiring speech Captain Riyad will give during the test series. My guess is: do as i say, not as i do

Mushy wants to play this series (cricbuzz) so I doubt he’ll be rested.

I disagree. Only after the series is decided one can entertain a rest. If they are fit they need to play. Nannus said the correct things.

Most likely we'll lose both these series if we are going to rest players. Surprised no one is asking for Nurul Hasan in the side. I would like to see him in the squad and keep. He did well in the games he has played in last few years.

Nurul Hasan played as the keeper in the last Windies series. He might play the Zimbabwe series as well.

Nazmul: Time is right for experiments
Quote:
“There is no option but to play others in place of Tamim and Shakib. I will advise all experiments to take place in the upcoming series that we have. We cannot take the risk of experimenting in the World Cup and Asia Cup. So we might see some experiments in the upcoming home series that we have,” said BCB chief Nazmul to the media Tuesday.

^ There goes all hopes for the juniors! You hear that Gowza? Rahim like the insecure eagle that he is, won't let anyone have their shine, and will swoop down these juniors to teach them bad locker room habits.

Here was a golden chance for the juniors to be around a more chilled out guy like Riyad and learn to grow their own wings. Instead, the nefarious Rahim will swoop down and stink up the locker room again. Absolute piece of trash!

International Cricket is no place for experiments. I want to see Liton Das at the top still with Imrul being the obvious choice as his partner. Mushfiqur at number four. Mithun at number five. Mahmdullah at number six. I want to see Nurul Hasan in the squad, and keep behind the stumps. I feel Mosaddek was unlucky in recent times, and deserves an extended run. Abu Hider should bowl in this series. I would also like to see more unknown players in the squad.
