Especially As a Bangladeshi I love and respect Khawaja too. He should be the inspiration to any second generation born and raised Australian-Bangladeshi/Pakistanis. We have so many things that are too similar. We should be strongly attached to our religion and culture.

I know what you mean. I take pride in any Indian/Lankan/Pakistani-Americans if they do anything noteworthy. Must be a tough series for you since both your nations are going at it. Glad you are rooting for BD - we need it more than Aus.

Hahaha, don't you know mate majority of foreigner deshi descents root for their original nations. it's pretty normal. Few of my relatives born in london always root for Bangladesh (only one was exception).

im not judging shafiul. I actually like shafiul cos i think he got good potential and can be effective. But Roy got a proper go before Shafiul and he bowled well in SL.

Roy always looked like causing trouble and is someone that would a threat in seaming conditions. Roy even bowled well in patches in NZ. So hence i think dropping him is very unfair and im also very disappointed about that.

But because he is not a big name in Bangladesh cricket no one will bring it up.

cos Ashton Agar has done jack in internationals and is a very meh kind of domestic player. Khawaja been the undisputed top batsmen in Australian domestics for quite some time now and has also proven he is a capable international batsman.

You're preaching to the choir man. I completely agree. He should be our 2nd pace option after Fizz, especially on seaming conditions. I'm hoping Hatura and selectors realize that and pick him up for SA tour. But unfortunately, our selection process is more like a popularity contest.

As an Australian-Bangladeshi I can promise you it's not very tough. Their players are an obnoxious bunch of %#@&s, many of their fans are boorish and aggressive, their media is insular to the point of farce and their commentators are a jingoistic affront to the senses.

The only thing that makes it tough is how desperately I want us to beat them.
