The Official Bhaira Bhais Letting Us Down Thread
I just HAD to make this thread. Mushfiq and Riyad two bhaira bhais (Brother in Laws) letting us down every now and then and the worst part is they do it in pairs. The epic choke job against India might be their crowning achievement. But let's talk about the current series now shall we.

When they **** up its a package deal, they will do it together and in similar fashion!
Both will throw their wicket away in same match by doing a slog sweep (T20 WC, one of Afg ODIs), and they both will be dropping catches together like today

Mahmudullah doesn't have it in him to bat long at test, eating up as much deliveries. If you look at the innings it was more like odi innings, he is too eager to feel the ball, tap, meet the ball on the bat especially outside off. His downfall today was him trying to get to his 50 with a wild slog, a shot cost him many times before. Last ball of the over, full and straight: you'd think a 'senior' would know to close out the over.

I am a big supporter of Riyad being the next captain after Mash. But that shot today just made those who had the same opinion like me think twice. I mean WHY??

The difference between complaining and opening up a whole thread to complain in a trolling manner. I wouldnt even do it to someone like Rabbi or Him no matter how big of a mistake they made. We complain about them getting emotional and reacting... Look how long it took us to open a thread to bash them...
Thats PakPassion way of complaining.... Not BC

I feel you brother... I am a big supporter of him being the captain after Mash as well... His captaincy record is 2nd best after Mashrafe, he has taken his team to the finals thrice and his overall captaincy was very good... calm and attacking at the same time but today when he played that shot believe it or not I screamed in exasperation... i screamed so loud even I was surprised... we have been guilty of throwing wickets at crucial stage and would it have hurt to just block a few before the end of the day and keep the balance in our favour seriously????
anyways.. Mushfique's captaincy is the one we should really discuss as being over... it's time for a new chapter... he might be one of the best batters but does not deserve to be captain

@ Rinat: Excuse me. But did I just read you calling me a troll?
Ok here's my opinion on that post: The difference between defending a player's blunder and defending his inexcusable idiocy in a trolling manner.
Fan howa bhalo, but blind fan howa bhalo na. jottoshob. Be a fan of Mashrafe, fine. But have the courage to admit his shortcomings like his inabilitiy to bowl at the death. Don't just worship a player. That's what's a rational fan is.

I haven't seen Riyad captain, but how is he as a captain in a personal level? Mash has great communication and interpersonal skills which he uses to boost the team, encourage his team-mates and inspire confidence. Rahim isn't as great as Mash but he'll still be vocal from behind the stumps from time to time saying stuff like 'come on boys'. Riyad on the other hand seems like a dejected fella when on the field, all quiet, depressed and dead looking guy moping around

And my response to your latter part of the explanation,
Criticize kora bhalo but criticizing on the form of "official bhaira bhais letting us down" is a very poor way to criticize two players...

On the contrary, I think it's a perfect way to criticize. Doesn't break any sorts of forum rules and factually correct. Timely thread too. If I really wanted to be mean, I could have used their marriage picture you know. That picture was gold.

Thank goodness I am not running for president then! So go ahead, defend Riyad's brainfarts and Mushy's captaincy all over this forum 24/7. I am sure that will win you lots of admirers.

Two people were literally laughed at in shock and baffle by the Skysports coverage shows between intervals. Then they were felt sorry for. NAME THOSE TWO PEOPLE FOR YOUR PRIZE!
It was embarrassing and cringeworthy to watch as fan.

As I said in mt that the bhairas will always look proactive, in form, in control right from the beginning and out of no where they will get out.
They will score fluent 30s or 40s and perish

^^ Brother in laws. Mushfiq married Riyad's wife's cousin, thus they are brother in laws.
I have to agree, that brain fart yesterday made a serious dent to Riyad's prospect for captaincy. Also, he is living up to his reputation just doing enough to stay in the team, not doing anything further. For a player in his thirties, you would expect much better maturity.
