And when it came to it, Jamie Siddons lost his job because the 58 and 78 were too much to take as he was batting coach. The batsmen were just not improving.
I can tell you as a support coach that you have a huge role to play in your specialised department and any coach should be judged on this, as Jamie was.
Shane's time as bowling coach has been terribly disappointing. Even he would acknowledge that. Shane was also in charge of NZ bowling when they lost 4-0 on BD. In the past two seasons the BD pace attack, instead of getting better and being made secure, has just dropped away. In the national team he has virtually no one left to work with.
I like Shane as a bloke. Very nice guy. I can understand why he might be popular with the players as he most likely let's them do what they wish and is probably not allowed to change anything. It would be good to see in 6 months time if has been able to make a difference as interim HC and then assess if he is someone who can be a leader. I suspect Shane isn't leading, though, at this time as he won't have normal HC powers.

We don't need a Wright or dada - a high profile "noban or raja' likle coach
RATHER,
We need a cubsitter, who would have the care, love and passion to take care of the Bagla kids!
Shane has it, you got it and Jamie had it.

You also need someone who actually does coaching too, bhai.
Care, love and passion are wonderful. But also required is someone who can get the best from the players and be STRONG when they need to be.
The players like Tamim, Mash and Shakib will eat a 'weak' coach for breakfast. Sometimes a coach is popular because they can be manipulated, don't forget that.

Yeah let's make Jurgensen the HC coz he provides tender loving care to our kidz. He must be doing a good job feeding them milk and helping them wear diapers.
Hey, I have a better plan. My cousin had a baby just a few days back. Why doesn't Jurgensen come and be the nanny he was destined to become?

Shane Jurgensen should certainly NOT be appointed as head coach

Fire Shane. Appoint Saqlain as the head coach and hire a batting and pace bowling coach.

Well, there are scope for a thought here...I am all for a good heart, hard working and a passionate coach rather go for a "high profile" vacation lover!

And about making Dada the head coach? Now I dont know whether to laugh or cry. He talks a lot without much sense like many others.

And what I've seen he is very friendly with the boys... Very popular among them..

He is a bowling coach. And he failed in that department.
He couldnt improve any pacers. He couldnt even improve raju.
So a big NO from me.
We need a good pace bowling coach. Shane needs to go.

Shaf was quite succesful [albeit the sample size is small]. Mash kept his cool even when attacked by Gayle, and came up on top.

Also, Mash did bowl very well. Rubel got one over messed up - but could have happened to anyone.
Anyway, all I am for is a good coach who will bring his heart and soul for the tigers along with his skills ):

I am impressed how we dealt with each Windies players, especially how we kept Gayle quiet. Kudos to the coaching staff for coming up with effective strategies. I don't see any reason to make any change with current team management.

I am too impressed how effective and brilliant the team stretegies were in the whole series. Even we have lost both tests, we did well IMHO. Could have won the first test though.

For that saqlain deserves more credit. Its our spinners who troubled him more.

Building a good Test team will take lot more work, you can't expect coaching staff alone to do all. We need to fix our FC league first.
