Exclamation Very Important

Attention managers: I've been working my butt out. Now it's going to be your turn.

Here are your next steps:
1) Pick a City
2) Name your owner
3) Get a Home ground
4) "Reveal" your team (Most of you haven't posted that yet)
5) Get a 2nd LOCAL sponsor for your team.
6) Hire Asst. Coaches and Staffs.
-- At least a Batting, Bowling, Fielding coach. A Curator, Trainer and Physo.
(IDK why the simulator needs it. I guess it factors all in). And unless you've completed the previous steps, you won't have the "money" to hire that many coaches.
7) Make your center pitch, based on the weather of your area.
Pitch Speed: 1-10
Pitch Grip: 1-10
Pitch Bounce: 1-10
Pitch Variation: 1-10
Pitch Deterioration: 1-10
Please try to be as accurate as possible. All this steps are very crucial, and will determine the out comes.

Finish these while we wait for 2 more managers.

Thank you,
CEO, Major League Cricket

Sounds good . Too much BK lately, kinda got used to reposting/re-explaining things.

Just a quick question. I have about 400ish players, that includes Elites, Avg, Ashrafuls, Assos, but very little no namers. Their application wasn't accepted as they have little chance of getting drafted. Should I list more? Or will that be enough.

16*15=240, so 400 might still be ok. 16*20=320, so you're probably good even if it's 20 players per side.

Did you see my breaking news?

I'll get started on creating your back room staffs and stadium. King City, Maple Leaf Cricket Stadium, capacity 1000? Sound reasonable? That could hurt your earnings from tickets though. But considering it's a cricket field, your pitch should be better than others.

From the San Francisco Chronicle:

The MLC Sharks Land Shane Warne as Coach, Wasim Akram as Bowling Coach, Robin Singh as Fielding Coach, and Paula Patton as Physio/Booster.
Updated 9:26 PM PST., Saturday, August 4, 2012

San Francisco, CA- Shane Warne has signed a 5-year contract as the Coach of the San Francisco Sharks for an undisclosed compensation package. Warne, flanked by Owner Larry Page and GM Sohel N. Rahman during the press conference held at the Fairmont Hotel Ball Room, expressed his determination to bring the first MLC championship to Baghdad by the Bay and add to its formidable championship tradition.

"We're looking forward to the draft and have a very clear idea as to what kind of combination and balance we want. We've also developed a strategy to give us an almost unfair advantage suited to the unique cold and windy conditions at Candlestick" said Warne. "Naturally we're thrilled to have Wasim and Robbin to help us succeed from the word go. Paula can make sure we're always in optimum shape. Camp will begin immediately after the draft at the Candlestick."

Warne did not rule out the possibility to play but said it would be highly unlikely.

Warne

Akram

Singh

Patton

@SNR, hmm. You don't need HC. I guess this is more baseball style or Andy Flower-ECB style. YOU guys are the manager or in cricketing terms, the head "coach". That's why the specialist coach for every dept. (And there is no room for "HC" on the thing as they expect you to be the HC/Manager"). I guess just drop one (between Wasim and Warne I guess) or you could do what NW did. And I'll use my judgement to calculate in the coaches "stat." I'll be as fair as possible. But do pick good people, not someone ridiculous.

Also if you find some else's pitch "unfair" or "unreasonable," challenge them.

^My bad. I assumed the "manager" position to be that of the GM in all American sports. I think that's a good thing. Make Warne simply "Coaching Coordinator" then? If you can't, then I'll drop Hayden. All others are established T20 coaches with exceptional track records, not just some great ex player with no coaching creds. Paula is also a real fitness trainer BTW. Anyway, if Hayden is dropped, I fully intend to have experienced batsmen in my team capable of doing that job

^ GM-style was my plan at first. But with this sim, things have shifted a bit. But this way you can get your hands on other things. Or else technically you'd have been "done" right after the draft. But now it would make sense for you to select the XI and stuff. As Warne or who ever isn't in charge.

@N_W. Good hire. Updating. You only have one thing left to do.
@BK. Calm down cha cha. lol you only needed to get ONE sponsor. And that's Lou Kitchen. /Final.

How's that? Coaches & Staffs: Matthew Hayden | Wasim Akram | Robin Singh | Paula Patton?

If you have Wasim, you won't need Warne. 2 bowling specialist is unnecessary. But it's upto you. Either way is fine.

People, do not sign recently retired players, such as Gilly, Lee etc, Murali. Or else it will conflict with my player pool, because they will be available for draft. Plus the world doesn't really have that many good high class cricketers from 16 teams league if you think about it. So it will also hurt the quality.

Gotta have Warne. The best IPL coach bar none. I hope you followed his career there as a coach. He's not a "bowling coach". His coaching specialty lies in creating innovative and aggressive strategies and building the necessary synergy to execute those by utilizing his resources perfectly. Not spin bowling. Spin bowling features less significantly in my swing-centric bowling attack and I don't need a spin bowling coach as such.
