He's probably our most consistent bowler...he destroys minnows, but now he's been doing well against top sides as well. He rarely gets tonked or looks clueless.

Needs to improve his fielding. He let a 4 go through in Abul Hasan's over, where he should've done better.

Interesting stat. Razzak averages 15.33 with the ball in Bangladesh wins in ODIs, taking 120 wickets. What's more him alongside Mashrafe, Shafiul and Rubel from the current crop have better bowling averages in wins, then Shakib al Hasan.
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/eng...s;type=bowling
It shows how pivotal Razzak is to Bangladesh but gets nowhere near the recognition he deserves.

Same amount of games but 36 wickets more than Shakib. Shakib was superb in batting than bowling.

Getting reported the 2nd time has actually forced him to become a more effective SPINner! I seem to recall pointing out that he had gotten more side-on and was getting more drift in the match thread on his first match back with the new action. Seems now he's realizing the way to use that in terms of varying his flight and delivery angle. That and apparently his armer is more of a genuine drifter. Good on him. He's still got a good 3-4 years of service to give. At that point Enam will have chomped at the bits long enough and will come in and be our version of McGilla monster

Yeah in ODI. But in test Shakib has better record than any other BD bowler.

QED: BC has had plenty of discussions on Razzak and he's not as underrated as y'all think he is amongst the BC members.

razzak for awhile was averaging low 20s with the ball in ODIs, he went through a period of a couple of years previous to 2012 where he just lost it completely and i'm pretty sure his average dropped to 28/29 but he's brought it back up into the 27s.
bar those couple of years (maybe 2010/2011 not 100% sure) he's been a great ODI spinner not just for holding up an end but for taking wickets to.

And people wonder why Razzak is so 'unsung'.
Should have given the strike to Gazi instead of
trying to be a hero.

In an article, he was whining about how he doesn't get the appreciation he deserves. Well, he just gave a demonstration on why he really doesn't get the appreciation. SImply because he plays those needless shots when the team just requires strike rotation.

He did exactly the same think in the Asia cup vs Pak(1st game) and ended up losing from a winning position. Mash did the same in that game
So I'm not surprised. Experience is useless when u don't know how to use it....

That was a retarted shot from someone who supposedly has so much experience. If he hang around and picked singles we could have pushed it close to 240

Poor stuff from Razzak. He's supposed to be the most experienced member of the team. Completely irresponsible.
