Focus on Ireland?
Shall we now focus our attention to the Ireland tour? We already know that Ireland beat West Indies recently, and are in good form.
Are there any other info on Ireland? Today's TV news said that our 2 matches on 29th and the 30th August will be in Belfast.
And here is the Irish cricket's homepage:

Yes. I took the liberty of introducing myself to them in their readers forum. Love to get some fan interaction and information about their cricket as details are rather sketchy.

No - they are One Day matches between two international teams.
But these matches do not have 'One Day International' status.

The newly arrived Bangladeshis obviously found the cool and damp conditions difficult and their batsmen, especially, seemed out of touch.

Ireland versus South Africa 2003
I thought that you might be interested to see the above scorecard, since we're facing both the teams in the same month. May be it'll help us to spend some free time looking at how South Africa played against Ireland and how Ireland played against South Africa. By the way, this South Africa team is exactly the similar strength that has been playing Sri Lanka right now.

Seems like their openning batsmen (Morris/Bray) are very dangerous. If they score, then can easily chase 295 like they did against WI. But if they fell cheaply then they cannot chase 245. I hope our new ball bowlers will be able to take their wks early.

i think Bangladesh will do much better than WI in the bowling department. Chacha, Tapash, Babu are the ideal bowlers for English condition, and I don't think that Ireland has the batting depth to chase huge totals against us as the did against WI. But I am very scared with our batting. I wont be surprsied to see BD scoring around 160 -180.

After watching so many scorecards, now I'm sure that if we play our best side, I can say confidently that now we're in a position from where we can say that yes, we can beat Ireland, but only if we're playing our best possible eleven.
If we don't play our best eleven, and take the Ireland matches as some mere practice matches and try to give everybody a couple of matches to practice, then I'd say that we have a chace to lose 90%.

Chance will be 50/50
match against Ireland will be very difficult and competitive. Chance of Bd win will be 50/50. But, it would be a very good practice match.

Since we are losing all the non-practice matches, we should take Ireland/Scotland matches seriously (more than champions trophy matches). Losing Ireland or Scotland will activate the tier-method supporters e.g Dada, Woolmer. I do not mind losing to WI or SA but against Ireland/SCotland? Please don't do that. As a test team BD should win against Ireland/Scotland even with leaving out JO, Ash from the 11.

Here is the shameful similar act to the Canada tragedy
Ireland 177 all out, BD 63 all out
After this tournament in Malaysia, for this particular match, Akram Khan had retired from his captaincy, Gazi Ashraful Hossain Lipu, who was doing so tremendously well as the manager of the Bangladesh cricket team, retired from his post.
During the pre-World Cup 1999 era, this was the match that can be compared to our recent tragic loss to Canada.

Here is another blunder - WE HAVE NEVER EVER BEATEN IRELAND.
We played in only 3 matches against Ireland (or Norhtern Ireland) and the most comfortable situation where we were in all 3 matches, during the 1997 ICC trophy, where we bowled them out for only 129 runs, but we could never beat them as it was an abandoned match.
