One would have imagined a BanglaWash knowing that just from the word go you've got to credit the Tigers.....

Bangladesh can try their best to lose but I don't seem losing. Zimbabwe are just better at it.
we didn't perform outstandingly in the series yet won every match.

Taskin should have been included in the squad and final XI. He is our next version of Mash.

Mash-Abul-Soumya, the pace attack looks worrisome. Rubel should not sit out this match, he should play in place of Jubair, especially if they planning to make a bouncy track for the last match.
My team would be -
Imrul
Anam
Momin
Mushfiq
Shakib
Riyad
Soumya
Abul
Mash
Taijul
Rubel
Rest for Tamim

Zim should bat first to 300 and we should chase it down humbly, that what would be a proper practice of the mental mettle.

Agree with u there .... bd need to chase down with merit of the game. No collapse will be allowed....with zim u might get a way. ..but against ausi, nz or others ...I don't see how they will score after losing 4 or 5 big guns on the top. So they need to practice well in this match, not be a over confident. Good luck Bangladesh. Hoping to see 5fa

Athar is far better than many commies. Shamim is the worst. Maybe ramiz raja is as bad as him. Actually, English, WI, AUS, NZ, SA, Indian commies are better.

I had some choice words reserved about the quality of this thread until the "update". I must say that COWDREY bit is really well thought out. Well done, Gopal.
I still have some reservations about bringing the match thread in disrepute with trashy stuff, though.

Today my bet on sakib....he will finish up. Last 2 ODIs with the bat, he wasn't on song...so he will try to do something to bring sakib golpo back in scene.... I'm sure, today everybody will try to do something different, especially new comers. So good luck to everybody's....also zim will play fear free cricket... so let's see what comes out right..

The way I see it, there is no way Abul should be/would be considered for the WC tour. We already have Mash-Rubel-AlAmin-Taskin. I am pretty sure we are not gonna go with 5 seamers despite the conditions. So Why waste a slot on Abul or Soumya? The selectors are being downright stupid in their desperate pursuit of inventing a seam allrounder when there isnt any available. Abul or Soumya arent even ready to perform at home against Zimbabwe. What is probability of them performing in WC against some of the top teams? I am thinking zero. Rather than finding a new allrounder work with the ones you already have. Haturi da can easily work with Mash and Al Amin and try to make a marginal improvement on their technique. That to me makes more sense than trying these raw players at the world cup. Nasir is also someone that can easily be considered and I can bet anything that if he works for the next month or 2 on his medium pace with Streak, he will be a better allrounder than Soumya or Abul. His batting will be a huge boost too.

Well said. Absouletely spot on.
Btw I don't know why Al Amin allowed to play dpl and not in this series ( only played 2)? Are they thinking of dropping him from wc squad?

if the selectors thought the way we expect them to think than I guess they wanted to try all other seam options knowing he will make the trip regardless of how he performs. But DPL politics could very well be the reason behind this.

Soumya Sorkar, based on what i read from Isam's article where Mashrafee talks positively about his bowling and line and length, I think he is a prospect. not just bowling wise, but batting wise we could possible get a look as an extra finisher.
Maybe a little too late of an investment as world cup is only less than 3 months away but nonetheless, He is an investment.
