Default Do the Afghans seem a tad bit overconfident?

I was going to through the CI reports and then I saw this:

http://www.espncricinfo.com/world-t2...ry/728231.html

I can get that they are high on confidence but I really can't comprehend the attitude of Afghans.

Because they are playing the mind game. And after winning the last battle in Asia Cup they will continue to rub it in until we prove ourselves on the field.

Also because its a Tea20 match, any team can win, and it is not like we have Warner,Gayle,AB,Malinga.
Afghan has every reason to feel confident or over confident, even if they lose people wont criticize them for being over confident.

Cause Afghanistan played mo re t20 match than us. Plus they want to spread the fear factor on us. They know we can't take pressure.

Why are we worried about what they are thinking or how confident they are? When you start thinking about the opponent, you have already lost the mental game. We should internalize our focus and go play well tomorrow. Just win baby.

The players are not worried.

Most afghan cricketers brought up in refugee camps, this is their usual way of saying not that they are overconfident or arrogant.

Full credit goes to them for coming all the way to the top stage of world cricket with limited resources they had. Overtime they will also learn speaking diplomatically. They are surely quick learners.

This win means that Afghanistan have negligible chances of getting back.

Its unlikely that we will lose to either Honk Kong or Nepal and even if we do then this extra NRR will really really help

There is no bonus point crap in these tournaments.

The margin of victory is sweet enough

They were put back in the place where they belong.

Disagree akabir bhai...know it may sound arrogant but only associate teams capable of springing a surprise win against us are Afghanistan and Ireland and that too once in almost a leap year. Nepal and Hong Kong can combine their 22 players and play against Tiger's 11 but they still won't stand a chance.

Let's see how the Tigers bite the Nepal XI. Too soon to say anything. But with current performance, inshaAllah with a tighter bowling, we can dominate easily.

Remember they don't need to play well to win against us. We can play badly to lose against them just like we did in the afgan Asia cup game. Don't take any one lightly. Any one can beat any team in T20, if one player have a good day.

They are not idiots at all...very well planned and nicely acted parts from AFG palyers.......wanted to unsettle Tamim's composure. They knew very well how aggressive Tamim and Shakib are. Just tried to play a mind game.

There is a general etiquette when sledging. Afghans didn't even sledge, they were in our faces before a ball had been bowled. That doesn't qualify as simply "mind games". They clearly just wanted to be an irritating nuisance during our chase. "Mind games" don't result in the umpire cautioning you every couple of overs.
