Default ***Mushfiqur T20 Selection***

his numbers in T20I is really bad.
Last three years in T20 team = batting average of 13, with strike rate of 106.
His highest score is only 26 in the last three years.

We all know that we have a major problem in the middle order! Rotation of strike is one of major issue. With Mushfiqur not being able to deliver is it time now to look for a replacement? Perhaps someone like Nasir Hossain? His pretty decent at rotating strike. Someone has to be able to stay in the middle until the last 5 overs.

Or do you guys prefer to continue with Mushfiqur Rahim?

Mushfiqur’s score prediction for 2nd T20 Vs. South Africa.

Will he score more than 13 runs?
His batting average of past three years.

Will he exceed 26 runs?
His highest score in T20 International for past three years?

No. I do not want him to be continuing to play T20i. His numbers are useless. He should be thrown out of the t20i sids. If anything he has been getting free rides at t20.

Mushy is exposing the middle order by getting out too early. When our top order batsman get out, you can’t depend on Mushy. By him getting out for a low score, there’s added pressure to mid order batsman. Even if Mushy became a consistent 20 runs batsman, it would have helped..but his struggled big time both in terms of getting runs and a horrific Strike Rate of 106.

Mushy has batted in different position for national team in T20, didn’t make it count.

Fair point. Sohan is a good alternative, although cannot 100% trust him as a top 6 batsman.

Mushy did NOTHING in t20is for us if i remember.
Liton or Sohan or Bijoy should replace him.

Yeah no reason to have mushy in t20, he doesn't add to the team and it's taking up a spot of someone who could be getting exposure at the international level, others could be getting chances.

52 innings, one half century, average in the low 17s and strike rate is under 115.

May as well put a bowling all rounder in mushys spot, prob be just as effective with the bat but there's the added bonus of an extra bowler.

Based on this BPL, he should be replaced.. his candidates in most deserving order would be, Bijoy-Mithun-Zakir-Sohan-Liton

Mushy is one of the most consistent player in BPL across all seasons.
Last season he was in the top 10 run scorer.

Just can’t understand how he can’t perform for the National T20 Team.
Highest score of only 26 in last three years, really bad.

Anamul haq Bijoy has a T20 average of 33 which is more than any of our current players but he is selfish unlike our current batsman who play unselfish cricket of 15 from 13 balls

Top post. Well said. Some fans go with the motions/flow, and say anything that’s being said mostly, regular. This “selfish” word has been popularly attached yo Anamul by some armchair experts, who regularly use that word to describe Anamul like as if there is no other ways to explain a thing.

Anamul is one of the best T20 players in BD. His form wasn’t good in the other formats but he got booted because that’s Bangladesh for you where if you fail test you will get bootes from T20 even if you’re averaging 50 and striking it at 150! That’s the great Bangla selectors!

Anamul's batting approach in ODI was extremely selfish. In an era where scoring 300+ is a norm, he was comfortably batting with SR hovering around 60-70 while Tamim was required to take too much risk to score. Thats selfish batting 101. But when it comes to T20, he is a complete different player. He has been a better and more aggressive batsman then Tamim and technically shouldve been a permanent player ahead of most others in the team

Anamul should be in the t20 team and he can keep wicket. Anamul is a talent, even if he has attitude problems he still needs the experience and exposure, so why not give it to him in the t20 which has a bunch of open spots? It's a good format for him.

Imrul and Mushy are passengers in the T20 team. Haven't done jack **** in this format but still get picked based on other format performance. Imrul will most likely be dropped once Tamim is back but Mushy, doubt it. There is nothing to do about it.

Mushy isn't captain in this format, he isn't performing and there are other keeper batsmen worth trying. It's a shame that mushy's seniority will mean that the other players miss out, ultimately Bangladesh cricket loses.

Today's bowling attack is still our best.. SA would score 200+ against any team today the touch Amla and Miller were in. I have bigger issues with our batting.. the players selected and the order.. Liton, Mushy, Imrul don't belong. The only position and format Sabbir was doing well in was at #3 in T20s and theyve managed to f*** that up aswell.. pretty clear he's useless when the pressure is on after a cluster of top order wickets.

This little thing is ultra annoying at times especially in t20. Dude to the honourable thing, do the dignified thing and put your country first and skip T20i matches. You’re like those corrupt greedy politicians.
