We made 201. But, bowling was horrible. We let Oman make 147 ?!
And, Mushfiq - haha - what a loser. In a practice match, he attempts a cheeky shot, after arriving at the crease and then gets out. This single shot sums up him and his career.

Looks like heavy traffic overwhelmed the site. Last I checked, BD closed their innings at 147/7 and SL were at 61/3 in reply after 8.4 overs.

what a pathetic display of cricket by our national team. I understand 4 seniors were missing but expected more from the youngsters. Very poor batting! I just hope we make it to the final round to avoid embarrassment.

Not sure it makes sense to draw too many conclusions from a warm-up match. I think dew came into the equation in the latter part of the SL innings, which might explain why everything suddenly went for a boundary. Having good pace bowling options (and I don't mean Soumya) will be important. Saif, who didn't play yesterday IIRC, will be important. As will Fizz and Taskin/Shoriful.

Agree with Shubho - we will have to rely more on pace, opening with Nasum-Mahedi won't work here. Nasum may be redundant once Shakib returns. Mahedi may be still needed against certain left handers.

I would go with following XI:

Naim
Liton
Shakib
Mushfiq
Riyad
Afif
Nurul
Saifuddin
Mahedi
Taskin
Mustafiz

Fairly long batting order with even Fizz making good hits every now and then. Shamim and Soumya should be on bench.

Typical Bangladesh. We don't have T20 type batsmen. Wont be surprised if we lose against Oman and Scotland. Any score more than 150 would be hard to chase for our batsmen.

We are loosing to Ireland who lost comprehensively against UAE last week twice, who are not even in the tournament.

It's very possible BD not making the main WC. But I am sure the organizers don't want that. I think they put it in a way so BD IND PAK all get to play each other in group 2.

Such poor performances in the warm-ups. I blame BCB for pampering the team at Shangri-La!
Bowling has been horrible. Shoriful and Fizz go for 10 RPO. Something needs to be done with the bowling.

T20 has never been our format. Having said that, no reason why we shouldn’t fly through this qualifying group.
