The Decline of KKR.
is because of Shah Rukh Khan.
don't get me wrong. i've always liked this guy. he was a childhood hero of mine..
but nowadays whenever i see him i get a sick feeling in my stomach. watching him in all the ipl games, he reminds me of a bollywood take on the public figure of tom cruise.
i think the ipl has caused us to see the real shah rukh khan, and i dont think i'm the only person to have begun to dislike him after the ipl. i've taken the 'fakeiplplayer' blog into account, and it reflects the idea that shah rukh khans' attitude of 'im better than all of you' has affected the team.
it's sickening watching him wave at the audience. it's like he's hitler, looking down at his nazis.

Maybe using the hitler example might be going over the top but I get what you mean, he thinks he is so superior to everyone. What really pissed me off the most is the fact that they only sell KKR shirts with his name on the back you can not find alternative shirts with different players name on it, from this little stunt of his you can guess how much of an egotistical guy he is. He needs to start understanding that he should leave Bollywood out of Cricket, they just dont work together well

hmmm...i got it. Stripping Dada off the captaincy and sitting Mashrafe out will always cause a decline in Shahrukh's popularity among us no matter how the KKR performs.

Sharukh Khan thinks he's better than Amitabh! Truth is that even Amir Khan is a much better actor than Sharukh. No questions about Sharukh's personality and popularity anyway... but with money comes arrogance, that’s the problem here.
I strongly believe that he should have completely eliminated Dada from this edition by speaking to him.. But with Dada around with no powers in a team that uses Kolkata's name is ambiguous and confusing.
Mash will probably get little or no chance, the persons in team management do not value his abilities it seems.

He can ride the bench every match as long as he's in the squad, so yeah Mashrafe right now is just chillin getting 42,000 USD a match doing nothing.
btw, the title is misleading they were never good

i remember modi explicitly saying that the players are going to be paid per every game they PLAY.
of course they were good.
im going to foolishly presume that you can't read, or have no idea what happened on the eve of april 18, 2008.

I dont know about KKR's decline per se...but I am sure Modi will try his best to cover up the pathetic Nielsen's ratings. All these Indian hoo-haa (granted it's "indian" premier league) will alienate International Aduience. Their best bet of revival is to include eclectic teams of players from ALL test playing nation. I mean look at us for instance. We are die hard cricket fans but how many of us really watching the Bangalore game right now?....Psh. i can see ipl's demise in 3 years.

they have to pay him weather he plays or not. only if some one is not with the team they don't have to pay... but if a player is with the team they have to pay...

"game they Play"= Being in the playing squad of 15. So far, he was in the squad of 15 in all but one game. So yes, he will be paid. Regardless the money, i think Mr. Buka does not think Mashrafe good enough in SA ground. Not sure how Mash is doing in net there, may be he is not in 100% at net

Everything KKR does now has a clownish look to it. McCullum getting out first ball of the match today - to Kevin Pieterson of all people - was really the zenith. Every time you think that it cannot get more farcial, it does.
If it is a movie, the first half will end here. The second will begin with McCullum resigning the captaincy and Dada taking over ....

McCullum has said that he would resign if the team doesn't make it to QF. That could mean that he would continue for the entire first phase.
