From the "Nation"

LAHORE - Uncertainty looms large over Pakistan's tour to Bangladesh after the PCB informed that Bangladesh Cricket Board had sought a week's time to obtain clearance from their government and confirm the revised itinerary.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ijaz Butt said that his Bangladesh counterpart had asked him to wait for a week to get a clear picture on the tour.
"Yesterday only I talked to a top official of the Bangladesh board and he had requested for a week's time to get a final clearance from their government," Butt said.

Don't really see a source that says "cancel"; the caveat being if tour does not start before M 27 then it may not go on because of BD players' IPL commitments.

IPL will not start anytime before May 4th, according the Indian government. They will not be able to provide the security for the games and players because of the election.

BCB has enough time now.

Jahidus as usual, opened a thread without any source or may be he himself is the source.. Right Jahidus?

Tommorow is the deadline for weather they're will be a tour or not

Take this Article for What it's worth

Tuesday, March 17, 2009
KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Chief Operating Officer Saleem Altaf says Pakistani team tour of Bangladesh for a one a will be confirmed soon in spite of security apprehensions.

Altaf said Monday that he is in constant touch with Bangladesh officials, adding there is a big possibility that the new dates would be soon finalised. Altaf said that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has promised to come out with something concrete later on Monday. “The BCB is expected to get back to us this evening with information on the new itinerary (of the tour),” said Altaf.

“I have a fair inkling that the tour will be confirmed soon.” Pakistan was scheduled to tour Bangladesh from March 7 to play five One-day Internationals and two Twenty20 games. But the tour was postponed by the BCB on the instructions of its government a day after gunmen attacked the Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore March 3. Media reports last week suggested that the tour will now get underway from March 28 but will be reduced to three one-dayers. However, so far nothing has been confirmed.

Whats wrong with taking a bit of extra time to make sure security is good??? Look what happened in pakistan? you want some serious security breach in bangladesh do you? That would automatically spell the end of test cricket for us. Considering our country isnt a model for stability, I'm happy that BCB took that extra time to make certain security for all players is adequate.

Its not BCB's fault in anyway. Its the Bangladesh Govt. who took their time...for whatever reason/s.

Things maybe bad for Pakistan board but the government themselves have bigger worries than touring Bangladesh. As much as we may want to think PCB is in dire situation, which they are, but they know that they wont be making much money in touring Bangladesh..And Pakistani players are not that eager to visit Bangladesh either,, they much better be in UK, UAE or India where they feel much home...Nevertheless, BCB is depending their decision on a worthless sports minister who cant even spell BCB..so go figure!!

so, the series is going to be cancelled!! extremeley dissapointing
and also i wud like to add, the series was postponned by GOVT,not bcb. Bcb was ready to announce the team, when the govt said to put a hault. and as i feared, the series will b cancelled.
extremely dissapointing
