Default Enamul Haque joins Indian team

Quote:
Bangladesh left-arm spinner Enamul Haque Jr and Sri Lankan medium-pacer Sujeewa de Silva will join the Maharashtra squad for the 2008-09 season. Haque and de Silva will replace Sairaj Bahutule and Munaf Patel who have not renewed their contracts. The selectors were keen on choosing international professionals since other states could be interested in domestic players, Maharashtra Cricket Association president Ajay Shirke, has said.
Quote:
"Since the board allows only three professionals in a squad of 25, we decided to go for two players that other states will not be thinking of," Shirke told Cricinfo. Maharashtra also recently hired Shaun Williams as coach and are looking to improve their position in the Elite group. Williams was Bangladesh's assistant coach and he could have had a role in Haque's selection
It is inevitable that Shaun selected him because I have heard that he liked him

Good news. I still consider him as our most potent test prospect. He can turn the ball. All he needs to do is add variation. India is the best place for a spinner to develop his game. This might be very beneficial to us in the long run. I will be watching his progress along with many fans.

Thank you Shaun Williams. Keep up the good work. Enam, work twice as harder. May you be the pioneer for our players flooding in Indian domestic cricket.

This Is 10X better than County Cricket, plus Enams Arm Ball to Michael Clarke is still the best Ball I've ever seen A Bangladeshi Bowl

Good news for E Haque Junior. He would bowl against some quality Indian doemstic sides and improve his bowling performance. I wish he will learn DUSRA by the help of any indian coach or player !

Ganguly has alot of Pull in Indian Cricket Politics, and Bengal hasn't signed any overseas players yet

I don't think the IPL will be calling for Rafique, John Wright did see one of Rafiques matches he scored a Blistering 70, Kolkota had Mendis on there team and they didn't even play him, I'm sure Mendis will get into the XI with Ease now

Personally, he could turn out to be a great test prospect for us in near future because we are struggling for a really good spinner. I just hope he does well for the Maharashtra first and then hopefully he will get chosen. He done really well against England in 2003 may I recall? and he also looks confident just like Rafique!

Hope he will come close to some great former Indian cricketers. It's a learning trip for him. Wish we could send Mash, Rajib, Rasel and Sajib to Pak domestic cricket this way.

Allah help those who help themselves. Enam is showing how to master one's own destiny. Go Enam. Hope to see you in BD colors in near future.

And Thanks goes to Shaun Williams for his role to make a place for Enam.
