4th and 5th day recipe
Day – 4
=========
1) Bat till Tea
2) Take 110 runs lead
3) Get WI in around last 25-30 overs of the day
4) Take 4 wkts around 70 runs
Day – 5
==========
1) Bundle them within 1 hour after lunch
2) We have to chase 60-70 runs in 35 overs
3) Get those runs within 30 overs and make it a memorable day for our cricket
WIN it TIGERS..........
it is very much possible now

batting till tea is optimistic..if they can bat till lunch it'll be a good achivement..remember this is the last recognized batting pair..gazi is still untested..sunny had 3 FC centuries but struggled in int cricket

1) Bat as long as possible...
2) Target minimum up to lunch...
3) If possible continue until All out / 250 lead..whatever comes first.

batting till tea? you got to be kidding me! Give some realistic receipe dude.
1. Target 500, most likely score giving them 27 runs of advance.
2. Bowling is going to be useless, so hang on til WI dec again on whatever score
3. bat till the target on the 5th day or hang in there for a draw (sorry, call me pessimistic but we are not going to win this)

Day 4
Riyad and Nasir should try to bat till lunch and possibly get close to the WI total.
If a wicket falls in the first session, Gazi and the other batsman should bat with controlled aggression to try and reduce the deficit instead of getting bundled out.
If the current pair survives till lunch, just keep batting and try to get a lead close to 80 and keep batting till Tea and aim for personal milestone.
After tea, ATTACK! Declare and put WI to bat before the EOD.

It's a good strategy and all, but I just don't have much faith in our bowling and don't think they'd be able to all out WI.

Match is headed for a draw...the pitch is still flat...we only have 2 specialist bowlers and bunch of part timers. SRK and RBX aren't even part time pace options, sadly.

tommorrow just try to play more aggresive, as there is less chance of us losing. if we can go beyond WI target will be great otherwise just go as near as possible. tommorrow will be a interesting day.

^^ lol..250 lead...r u kidding me...get as close as possible but take your time...batting on 4th day wont be easy... also I dont think our bowler can take 10 wkts...our target should be achieve a draw... On the other hand WI will go for the win, they will try to make quick run and they have that firepower Gayle.. if he clicks somehow, they will give us a big score to chase and hoping for a bating collapse which is very much familiar. So we should take it easy and play as long as possible..

If the pitch starts to turn tomorrow, we should go for the win. Otherwise, this will end in a tame draw.

Trying to win this one will be over optimistic. I think the first goal should be to go past 500 for the first time. Then, take a lead. Bat as long as possible, declare at xxx/9, just for the fun of it. Let them bat for whatever they want, and then bat 'til the end.
We are at a point, where a hard earned draw ain't bad.

I hope these two batsmen can play their best innings as this situation come often...if they can survive morning sessions that will be key but the way Ravi, Best, Sammy are bowling along with their spinners (if pitch starts to favor them from 4th)...it will be very challenging and most difficult tasks for our last two recognized batsmen. I agree first goal is to reach 500 and then gradually and nominally increase the expectations to bat as long as you can.

In all 3 days morning session was the toughest call. I hope both riyad and Nasir will bat well to survive the early overs. If they can do so then I can hope some lead for us. Other wise same old wine is waiting for us as we are still 72 runs behind.

I think this is what will happen...wish we had better bowlers and also wish these two could have stayed till lunch on 4th day...Gayle an co will be ruthless when they give a target to us tomorrow.

1st goal is to survive morning session , take the lead then go for aggression to take lead as much as possible. If we survive than declare half an hour before tea.

If they can bat till lunch I'll be happy. Although we won't take wickets I hope we can restrict the run rate. That means barely bowling our pacers.

Bangladesh should plan to play at least 4 more hours tomorrow. First hour should set the tone for the rest of the day and most likely the outcome of the test. Nasir and Riyadh need to buckle down and not think about runs at all. If they can score 30 odd in the first hour and 75+ in the session without losing a wicket that would lay a perfect platform to bat till tea.
The least amount of time we give WI, especially Gayle, to bat in the 2nd inning the better. If Gayle gets going and gets enough time, WI could set us a target of 280 and with 5th day wicket, both WI spinners could be deadly. If the pitch remains as flat as it has been, then it shouldn't be an issue for us to draw the match.

Try to bat as much as possible even try to take a lead of 150 if it is possible make WI bat and make them all out less than 250. Then we would need 100 run and try to win, otherwise draw. No need to take a risk.

True. just try to stay there much time as possible our player usually not good at it, this is time show we can play test match so forget about wining right now, in a process they get some personal record. Safty first remember. try too much we can still lose the match.

I will go for an innings win. Bat all day tomorrow and take a 260/70 lead. Bowl them out the next day. 10 wickers. 80 overs. 1 day. It's possible!
