Default A nice one on Tendulkar

Just thought I'd share it here.

it may only be when he's gone that many Indians will fathom just how special this diminutive genius was.
This is absolutely true, and not just Indians. Already, seeing highlights of some matches from the 1990s makes one sad with nostalgia. That Tendulkar died in 1999. What we see and abuse now is a mere ghost of a very great cricketer

i agree. tendulkar is not what he used to be anymore. he may look at it as a voluntary change to make space for the added responsibilites derived from maturity and seniority, but if that's the case then we fans are being deprived.

Till 1999, he was at his best. Even in 2003 WC, he wasn't far away from his past standard. But after 2003 WC, he has just become a simple regular run scorer.

You are very right Tintin... What we see is indeed a shadow....

Even with all that he is still a good player and his mere pressence is a huge boost for a team.....I wish he was in his 1999 form so we could see some destruction....

Todays innings (da one with bucknor calling him out) was played really well. He was there when India needed him but it ended a bit to early.
