If Another Indo-Pak War Began......
With the escalating tension between these two countries reaching unprecedented levels since the Kashmir suicide bombing, and the tit-for-tat reactions from the Indian side we can't rule out the possibility of another war breaking out between them (unlikely it will happen but still likely).
With the current geo-political situation at play, a war breaking out between them will be different from previous instances with countries (besides the usual players such as US and Russia) such as China, Afghanistan and possibly Iran getting involved explicitly or implicitly on either side.
Question is, where does this leave BD? We currently have a shrewd government/PM and have been able to attract investments and establish favourable relations with both the Chinese and Indians despite the friction between them but on the other hand its no secret we have a very Pro-Indian party in power. When push comes to shove it is likely we will have to join a side as we can't escape neither country's sphere of influence. Or do you think our PM will be able to cleverly maneuver through the regional political game and manage to keep us neutral? The Sauds were somehow able to get our government and our army be at their beck and call over their shameless war on Yemen.

Why should we (Bangladesh) have to take a side?
Yes war brings unnecessary suffering to innocent people and we should do whatever we can to prevent another war (any war). But if stupid people (pakistani leadership) doen't know how to run their country and cannot adjust to reality, really what we can do?
Its possible India has set up the trap, but Pakistani leadership is very incompetent and self destructing their own country. At the same week 27+ Iranian guards were killed in the pakistan-Iran border by a Pakistani (Saudi may have a hand on it). And Iran goverment is very mad at Pakistan.
The attack may come from from both side of the border.

Not saying we have to take a side, just implying it might reach the point where we will have to pick a side depending on how large the conflict escalates, either by force or coercion.
If war breaks out, the only thing that will keep Pakistan alive is the Chinese backing else they would be swallowed up. The Arabs will only pay lip service and cheer lead from the sides as they know they can't afford to ruin their relationship with India either.
This just a hypothetical scenario of where we would, realistically, find ourselves in.

We have to see our own interest. Bangladesh have no benefit choosing a side in a war. They should stay neutral as long as they can.
And if they are forced to chose a side, they should not chose the loser. In this case we all know who will be loser in India-Pakistan war.
btw thanks to pakistani leadership, now a days USA or China care less about Pakistan. Things have changed drastically. Saudis are just using them for their manpower. Relationship with Iran soared recently. They really don't have any true friend left to save their as$. They are on their own. Sadly they are becoming a forgotten country, nobody really cares anymore (unlike last few wars).

^ I'm not sure about China though.
China has invested heavily into Pakistan and could almost be considered a colony of theirs seeing as how dependent Pak is to them. Pakistan is also a willing puppet for them to counteract India.

Exactly. This doesnt concern us directly, but our government will have to comment on it. Although we know which side the PM will always take.
That being said, I dont really think a full blown out war will take place between these two as it will cause of imbalances in their economies. Furthermore, these are all politicians showing emotion to get focus right before Indian elections. The Mumbai attacks which were carried out by Pakistanis, what war happened after that.
And dont forget that the media tend to take these things out of proportion.

I think Bangladesh's role should be brokering peace deals between its two neighbors.
I hope no war breaks out between India and Pakistan.

we should stay out of it. we have enough problems of our own and need to focus on that. no need to get dragged in their stupid wars and conflicts.
I believe West Pakistan had the most advantageous situation to prosper post 1947 partition. But they ran their country to the ground due to decades long fear mongering and constant conflict with India. And now they are the worst of the 3 countries borne out of that partition.
Luckily we are on the eastern front and war will not have much any impact on our side.
Let them kill each other off. couldn't care less.

There will be no war. If there is a war then both side would not hesitate to use their nuclear powers. That would be insane. Thus, no war. Mini-scrimmages, yes. Few bombs here and there. Testing new weapons. Getting election advantages (both sides). Then the west and middle east comes running, please stop the oil price is going high.

It suits Pakistan Army to have tensions with India... after all they need to ensure that there is always a reason to spend billions in Army every year while rest of the economy suffers.
As the saying goes, while every country has an army, Pak Army has a country. It benefits PA to provide safe refuge to Terrorist organisations inside its territory. I thought they would stop after the school attack but that did not happen either. As ex-Pak General Durrani infamously said in an interview with Al-Jazeera, the school death was collateral damage. Shameful really.

A cracking 5 match Test series could be arranged between India and Pakistan to avoid this painful war.
Win or lose, hugs all around.

India's claim of 300 killed in a strike is a load of bs lol (even the US has not done something like that)
Judging by the pictures etc it seemed like they bombed nothing in a hurry when they were retreating, so the usual suspects riding the Modi bandwagon can chill.
Embarrassment for Pak as well for allowing arch enemy aircraft to violate their sovereignty without consequences

Do you think India or Pakistan will ask us for help ?
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
We are going to provide what ? We don't have fighter jets to spare, our army doesn't want to do any hard work and our navy has some ancient ships. We can't even fight Burma next door. We are insignificant.
Pakistan is almost certainly lose. They are nearly bankrupt and GDP is lower than ours. India has plenty of fighter jets, submarines and an aircraft carrier.
