From what I understand.

Each of the rows constitute a group, the numbers the rank. Group 1, with the champs is the group of death and that is where SL and Pak will end up with the new champs.

not always the case...if you look at 2010 WC it was

afg wont be the 10th seed..zim will be 10 as they are a test nation and afg will be 11[as they were 1st in associates] which is extremely unfair if you ask me

Thanks. So it would be SA, BD, ZIM, and an associate. I'd take that. Would prefer Afgans though.

No it won't be SA. It will be either Aus or Ind. Since the final is between Aus and Ind, the loser from the final will end up getting the 2 seed. Which is a good news for us. There will be a pretty good chance of them broadcasting the game live if we play Aus or India.
