Default Photography - Tips and Pics

While sitting around, I realized there really isn't a photography thread here on BC. I mean there is the pics of bangladesh thread, but nothing really general. So I am starting this one.

I know there are many here who love taking photographs, and I'm sure some share on photo specific sites. I say, share some here with us. Show off your awesome work to the BC community. Photos can be about anything.... Bangladesh... Cricket.... Anything really.

Critiques are welcome too (unless you really don't want it)

If you do post, please don't post some ENORMOUS sized picture. Keep it reasonable.

I'll start it off, with one of Bangladesh (it being a Bangladesh forum after all).

I opened a thread sometime ago asking for pictures of Bangladeshi subjects and objects. And yet nobody provided me a picture for thela gari.
Due to huge outcry and demand, I therefore, post the following picture of Bangladeshi cricketer’s brain, worth 6k.

nadim, those pics are not taken by you, are they?

I will post some of mine when I get home. But Puck is the boss in photography department at BC. More importantly, I would like to see pics taken by DSLRs.

ehsan and kabir, i am not worthy of this high praise bestowed upon me! if anyone has any specific questions, especially the technical side of photography, of course i am happy to offer suggestions.

what with credit crunch and all that, i am having to earn a little supplemental income through portraiture shoots and have been booked for a couple of informal fashion shows. however, all this is so drastically different from why i really started shooting. there is just not enough in the day (night for that matter) to disappear by the water and shoot the shadows

Shooting the shadows rocks....

Haha. Never thought of that. Thats a pretty nice camera btw. Was going to buy it, but my wallet is just a void... nothing there. stuck with a crappy sony that cant do anything....

What do you need help with? Im not too good with the photo specifics (like how much to expose or like shutter speed), but im good at framing pics, and making them look good with auto settings and some slight adjustments on picasa.
