Simulation: BanglaCricket XI v Sri Lanka, 3rd Test
Hello and welcome to sunny Kandy for the third and final test match of this series. BanglaCricket lead the series 2-0 and will be eager to complete a cleanswipe here in Kandy. The pitch has a bit in it for the batsmen and the bowlers and news is that Ehsan has won the toss and elected to field. 2 changes to the Sri Lankan side, Kausal Lokuarachchi has dislocated his shoulder, he will be replaced by Lakshitha and Malinga has flown out to New Zealand as a replacement for Nuwan Zoysa and Gunaratne comes into the side. 1 change for the BanglaCricket XI, Unknown has been dropped meaning that AsifTheManRahman will open the innings and Navarene comes into the side as a second spinner. After striking Oracle in a Galle pub Rafiq can consider himself very lucky to be playing however due to some kind words from coach Tehsin. Ehsan himself said, "I don't think I will be bowling Rafiq straight up after what he's done"
Gunawardene is taking strike to Piranha

54.2 Navarene to Muralitharan, OUT!, Ball jumps off a good length and pops up onto the thigh pad, ball goes to leg slip, appeal and he's given, Murali can't believe it but Navarene gets his first test wicket

This whole thing is a mess...we need a hearing to sort out what happened and what action will be taken

my accuracy with the beer bottle was spot on, but unfortunately some people have such a thick skull that even a beer bottle can't crack it open. I wish I had arafath and is lathi with me in galle. oracle, sorry you got caught in the crossfire, next time duck.
I have hired the famous lawyer Ameena Islam Pinky. She has advised me to not comment on this matter but who cares. We expect a show cause notice from the BCB. I may have to show cause why i shouldn't be reprimanded to a RAB crossfire. But anyway Pinky made a couple of calls to Tehsin and others, so I find myself playing again. Of course politics has seeped into the team and I am not eing given the ball much.
btw, didn't the tsunami hit galle - i don;t see how this match can go on!

We're moved to Kandy just in time and the one-day series will go ahead for BanglaCricket XI, it mightn't however for Rafiq. A hearing must be scheduled in the chatroom tomorrow. I would like the following people to attend...Rafiq, Oracle, Pundit, Habibul_fan, Bourny, Chinaman and Ehsan

Check out how lucky we are!
Galle stadium destroyed
Quote:
Muttiah Muralitharan, who did not tour with the team to New Zealand, was in Galle only 20 minutes before the giant waves struck, but is safe.
|
The Sri Lankan team left just after us from Galle. Muralitharan was among them.
Quote:
Another casualty has been the Galle Stadium, which was in an area hit badly by the waves. "The damage to the stadium and the indoor is extensive," said de Silva. "We have not got a proper estimate of the damage and the losses."
|
Just shows how lucky we all were
