Biased Cricinfo
Hey guys, do you think that Cricinfo are a bit biased against Bangladesh? It's not big things, but there are a few little things that are annoying for example:
Bangladeshi player profiles do not get updated, even English county players get their's updated regularly.
(This happened in the NZ series) When the Bangladesh game was going on, sometimes it did not even make the front page headlines.
On the left side of the screen, where there are links for the series home of ongoing matches. The SA vs BD link was only put up a few days ago, while the India vs England series was added before, even though it starts later than this series, and that that link has been put up even though the India vs Australia series is still going on. Why didn't they put up the SA BD series while the NZ series were going on as well?
In the point above, this also applies for the NCL, which hasn't even been acknowledged to have started on the homepage..
When the BD team are fielding, and a stop is made, or a dropped catch, the player is not mentioned, while for other teams it is.
There are no ball by ball scorecards for the NCL, only ones that update at the end of the day.

Its unfair to call Cricinfo, Crapinfo.User Base and capitalism rules a profit motivated company like Cricinfo. If the majority (or a good chunk) of users want to watch a Gulli match in India or England, they are sure to cover it too !! Pure economics and practicality.
Its not ICC to be obligated to any cricketing board.

If you don't like cricinfo certainly you have a choice not to follow them. The site is a privately owned web site. What biasness? They can put up anything they want to. I love Cricinfo's statguru, archives section.
By the way, if you want equal treatment like others then our team has to perform equally or better.

Agreed and Agreed. I hate it when people call Cricinfo, crapinfo...
It's true they don't always update our scoreboards on time and or update our player profiles. But without them, we wouldn't be able to follow any of our international matches (without broadcasts and links) with the ball by ball commentaries.
I remember around 2003-04 when online links were much harder to get, I used to love following Bangladesh cricket in Cricinfo and I was soo thankful for it. It's the only website, in my knowledge, that does "in depth" ball by ball commentaries of all international teams. Be thankful sometimes instead of always complaining about things, please.
So if you guys don't like the cricinfo coverage, go to another site, or else, don't talk sh*t.

Cricinfo is biased for many reasons. Their headquarters residing in India is one and the recent bought-over by ESPN Star India has only increased that. It's an indian company that's running it anyways, so get used to it guys.

If there not covering a Match of your more times than not it's Our Boards Fault not CI, How the hell are they supposed to Cover a Match that isn't on TV + When they do send someone to the ground how can the do Ball by Ball if theres no Wireless in the Stadium and the Press Box is Garbage

Agreed. The Cricinfo department are full of Indians which is why the bias still stays. And we know how Indians tend to be in character when it comes to diplomacy and cricket.

Cricinfo isn’t biased, it just doesn’t have the knowledge or capability to update details of smaller teams. Prior to the 2007 WC, Shakib’s profile stated that he was a left arm medium bowler. Also, until recently Rakibul Hassan’s profile included a picture of another Rokibul who is 40+ years old and played in the days before Bangladeshi independence!
They are inefficient, but they’re getting better. As NZ fan says it’s not just BD, their coverage of cricket in the Windies and New Zealand (as well as Pakistan) is not that great either. They are getting better by using local know-how in their reports, which is why you see many stories originating from the Dhaka-based Daily Star newspaper or the Trinidad and Tobago Express in the windies.
Despite its inadequacies, Cricinfo is still the best dedicated, quality cricket site on the web. They are professionally staffed and their breadth of coverage is genuinely worldwide. They seem committed to covering all cricket even associate teams...

Cricinfo's coverage of any match between Arjotpara vs Nakhalpara (In any Indian City) is better and than any Bangladesh series.
