Lily Rani Biswas is a new player.

I was hoping Jannatul Ferdous would gotten another run

Yes, aklemalp, I agree. I believe Jannatul Ferdaus and Lata Mondol are on sick leave.

My last hope!
Aklemalp, Out_You_Go and I - we will follow the BD Women's team.
Tomorrow is the first match. BD Women vs. PNG.

Did you guys notice that not a single BD player in this team are from Dhaka (as far as I know).
And how many upper rank players came from Khulna. Khulna must be place of great inspiration for sport.

Excellent our dearest Navo bhaiya!
If you do have the time to go see any of our team's matches, and only if you can - please see if you can some photos of our team batting and fielding (while playing) for us, and post them in this thread, please my brother.
Only if you get a chance, no worries if you couldn't.

That is awesome if you go and get to watch our moms and daughters playing these matches wearing the national jerseys, you know Navo, how proud I feel of our team -these pioneer cricketers of Bangladesh. I wish them all the best from the deep core of my heart.

Yes, aklemalp brother, right you are.
I also learned while reading up on this qualification tournament that ICC has given all international women's T20 matches to be played from July 1st of this year onward T20I status - even when PNG Women will play let's say Uganda Women. But previously a T20 match between PNG Women and Uganda Women would be considered as a T20 match.

Liek you wished earlier in one of your posts, I really hope BD can win this tournament and get to participate in the main Women's T20I World Cup this year and get to play against the big teams like WI, England, Australia, India and others. Going to the World Cup and play against such big teams will only help the BD girls learna dn be better (I hope).

Congrats to BD women. Beating PNG by 8 wickets with 31 balks remaining.

A commanding win, although I expected the bowlers to bowl out PNG.

Good to see the batters are staying in and contributing.

Thanks for the thread BK brother. Could not open it as I was in a picnic in Davos. Just returned today.

On topic - commanding yet expected win! Congrats to the tigresses. Shamima seems to be in sublime form since the Asia Cup. She has been giving us pretty solid starts. Alhamdullillah.

Next up - Netherlands
